no. i have to do the same thing with any other mod. also complex already pushes beyond the game's limits and i think the performance will be terrible.

There was a mod made years ago that allowed you to fly around with a fighter. that mod did not have a cockpit though and i'm not sure how you would go about making one either. if you could make one and render it as a ship or part thereof, then sure, it would be possible. actually combining the freemod with uhg and adding a cockpit mesh to a ship where the camera is placed would do it. you would not have a live cockpit with readings and flight data though. only a frame. and you can't have a material that looks like glass in homeworld2.

make sure you are running homeworld 2 updated to v1.1. otherwise add -luatrace to your shortcut target, make the game crash and message me the Hw2.log file in the homeworld 2/bin/release folder so i can troubleshoot for you.

aw man, i only just saw your post here, sorry for that. my point was actually that modding won't feed me and i need to get into making my own games haha.

As for working with you, if it was indeed an invitation, let's first wait for that homeworld remastered thing. if it turns out as **** as it looks now, we can talk about blowing it away, how's that sound? (it's a matter of pride haha)

That would be the last hope. i know some laptops have trouble running this mod and i have not tested at all on windows 8. I removed it from my laptop about a day after getting it, but i'm sure lots of people are using 8 successfully.

Please send me a screenshot, i will think what it could be when i look at the actual result. I don't want to say anything if i don't know what the problem actually looks like.

what does your shortcut target say? because it sounds like you may have something that wants to use shader 1 instead of 2

also... i don't have a laptop yet, but anybody else who can check if they have the same issue with their laptops, if you can tell me about it it would be appreciated.

uhm.. try something, try plugging your laptop into a tv or other monitor and see if it works, my adjudicator worked on a laptop that had the same issue, for some reason, it did not work if the screen was not plugged in.. haha she wasn't very impressed with my "graphics mod" until she used a tv.

i just checked again and i have the same crappy shadows that this game uses. make sure your shadows are turned on in the game settings

what shadows my friend? i have posted pictures with working shadows. you know this game does not support ships casting shadows on each other, they can only cast on themselves and their subsystems.

i'd love a screenshot of that :D yes you probably need 1.1, it is what i used to mod so just get that. it is also useful for you to know that the german no cd crack is the most stable way to run the game and required if you want to play online.

well it sure is possible, but there really is no point. not to mention the intellectual property belonging to gearbox, they are working on hd releases. maybe they update the engine, maybe not, but they can charge money for it.

i have the ability to move it to the unreal engine, but why would i do that?

Due to personal reasons i will not finish this mod in the foreseeable future. i will pack and release it as is.
