Currently developing alone. Programmer. Bad 3d Artist. I have access to a better 3D artist.
They are a bit close to each other. R and S....
Hey, sorry for the late reply. No notifications...
Each ship has its own wreckage. There is a certain chance of leaving a wreckage. It is affected by how much damage actually destroyed the ship.
The wrecks themselves also take damage. So late missiles or slugs can destroy a ships wreckage.
The player can find special wrecks that he can salvage and add to his fleet. Wreckage after destroying a ship cannot be salvaged. You can although board and capture ships in combat.
I haven't tested it myself no, but you seem to be the first one to experience any issues with the demo. At least the first one to report issues.
I have no idea.
I'm developing the game on a windows machine.
You get no error message?
Yes. I will be making a better tutorial later. If you have any questions please feel free to ask.
Also if the above does not work try this.
I have no idea why the mac version isn't working.
I'm totally trusting Unity3D to deploy it correctly.
Did a little google...
And a answer
"Thanks to lanzz
I found out that the problem is permissions.
I used chmod +x to set the executable app under MacOS folder of the .app to make it executable and the problem is fixed."
Now hopefully this will help.
I will be uploading a new version of the alpha demo soon. I've got some bug hunters now who are doing a great job :D
Added empty box around empty refit spots.
Fixed drones firing on their mothership if no enemy near.
All ships can now be successfully bought... Also removed asteroids from INSIDE the base.
Junias Delight does no longer loose power if her crew is trained.
Scan cone might be buggy though...
Thanks BarecGesh :)
Hope the .app works...
The .app appears not to run
I'll check it out.
As I don't have access to a Mac, I'll deploy a new one untested and upload one within 24 hours.
Thanks, I'm planning on releasing the least buggiest game I can.
Not nice to sell it and use the buyers as testers.
That was both hilarious and painful for me to watch. But actually quite helpful! I took some notes.
This is a Buggy release.
I thought it was clear... I've probably should have put it somewhere in the text...
Will do that now.
Thats actually laziness on my part.
Go to our site CeresThegGame.com and Click the download button there. Its a dropbox link, we have a Mac version there.
Please note that the mac version is completely untested.
Great you like it, we have been messing around with refit screen for quite some time and I doubt that the current version is the final version.
Thanks for the info.
We've fixed the issues you mentioned. :)
Any feedback on the Linux version would be most welcome!
Thanks I'm sure our designer is pleased with the positive feedback.
That image is just a placeholder. yes. It will probably be used as a button to access detailed ship info directly.
Silhouette or a technical drawing is a good idea.
Yes, I updated the file throught IndieDb.
I will not be doing that with the next update on the Demo.
The next demo update will be coming hopefully within 2 weeks.
3 weeks Tops!
No problem, Unity easily supports builds to Linux.
These Linux versions haven't been tested though. But hopefully it works as the Windows version.
Yeah there is a lot of debate within the team concerning the speed of the ships.
Faster speed is better for long distance, but pain in the combat area. We are thinking about setting a specific combat speed to slow down the ships during combat.
Point defence systems automatically target fighters. You have to manually target them for other weapon systems.
You can group select targets for attack by activating attack order and ctrl drag a box over the targets. The ships should attack the closest ones first.
We are working on changeable attack stances for the ships. This will allow the player to change his turrets to point defence mode and back. This way a ship can dedicate itself to defensive fire. The PD turrets will still be available as dedicated defence systems.
The New AI is a bit more aggressive now. I myself did manage to take them all out without too much of a hassle, but I designed the game, so I know all the tricks.
We feel its better to have the enemy on the move(At least some).
More movement bring action to the combat. And apparently aggressive strategic movement :).
Here is the Dropbox link:
I'm pretty sure they are working.
Its in the works. UI is getting an overhaul and all ships, players, neutral and hostile will be displayed in a list for easy access.
Seems to be working for me. Tried it on two different systems.
Probably some temporary glitch with dropbox.
Anyone else having this problem?
A little error was detected.
The Pilot View doesn't work if Screen edge movement is enabled.
To disable Screen edge movement, press esc and press the "Turn Mouse edge move Off"...
Its a new drone type. a combination of a miner and the standard loot drone. A utility drone so to speak. Its also a repair drone.
I've added a new news item to the site which contains info on it.
Its still being processed.
There is a new version of the demo available, where you can see the new utility drone and the combat drones in action.
This look will be updated by someone with more talent and finesse than me in the GUI department.
I'm more of a hammer when it comes to designing UI.
Yes, its @jotunngames.
just a little info here and there concerning the game Ceres.
not very active...
Changes have been made to the modules repair system.
You can now access a lite version of it through the Armour and structure repair panel.
