It's single player. The patch does include MP, but it also includes a bunch of other stuff. Eidos just put it in one patch. Glad you enjoyed the installer!
Yep, all you need is the 1.0.4 EXE: Moddb.com
The Bonus Material doesn't have any gameplay impacts, it's just behind the scenes type stuff (voice acting bloopers, artwork, etc).
Thanks! It looks like lots of players turned out to support us, which is fantastic :-)
Congratulations to MWLL! And thanks to everyone who voted to get us into the top ten!
Excellent, you'll love our Hello Kitty interactive novel!
Kidding, of course :p
OR AM I?!
(Seriously though, it's currently secret, except for this: Offtopicproductions.com )
Thanks ninja! Any stand alone version will work just fine. The only version that *doesn't* work is from Direct2Drive.
Thank you, ModDB! And thanks to everyone who's supported TNM :-) Really excellent competition in this category, congratulations to all the other nominees are in order!
I'd also like to thank Fauntroy, poor little guy...*sniff*
Maybe it's scored like golf :-p
Actually, all our videos are you YouTube under our Off Topic Productions account (OTPGames) :-)
Here's the link to this one: Youtube.com
Good audio spotting! I sorted through rather a lot of TV show themes before settling on Quantum Leap. Who's The Boss was also in the running :p
Pebbles is native Deus Ex fauna, Scout's honour!
Understandably. This video was actually written and recorded before the MOTY actually started, and we planned to release it before the voting but then changed our minds. The "vote often" part doesn't strictly make sense, but it sounds good.
Much appreciated, Sir Dremth!
Thanks! I do think we're getting better as we go. The Space Station should be an interesting one.
No more *playable* bonus content, but we are working on the last 3 or 4 Developer Commentary videos. Those should start to trickle out this month, sometime.
Plus, there's two more of these TNM Character videos that'll be popping up this month :)
Glad to hear it, Heart! We appreciate it!
Keep an eye out for our next promo video tomorrow or Wednesday, this time featuring the delightfully eccentric Beeblequix :-)
Thanks for all the votes, guys!
We'll have some new TNM Characters videos starting next week :-)
Very much appreciated, bady!
Are you the one that emailed us? In any case, check out this link: Offtopicproductions.com
Infinity is a fantastic looking game that scores a lot of points with people for, well, looking fantastic. Deus Ex, on the other hand, looks like precisely what it is, a very old game that would never get any votes based on visual delight.
In any case, we have a general and oft admitted love for PR (which we consider good practice for our next commercial venture), so it's just a lot of good fun for us!
A fair point, Betelgeuze. However, it's rather like a political campaign. If you want to win, it's a rather poor strategy to simply kick back and hope people realize they want to vote for you. And of course, I just loved making these videos :-)
Much appreciated, beretta!
An interesting development, indeed!
Couple of random questions:
-Do you plan to support developers with anything similar to Steamworks?
-Is the idea that Desura will provide an easy way for people to automatically download/install mods for any game they own (possibly excepting games purchased through Steam and the like)? So essentially you just click "Gimmie that mod!" and it downloads, installs, and then patches?
You're in for a treat when you do, Scara is rather interesting to work for :-D
Yep! We've actually just updated the .exe download. We'll be updating the .iso and DVD once we finish the Developer Commentary videos (as we want to include the whole set).
Did you check out the readme? You'll need to mount the .bin and .cue files if you don't want to burn it.
Thanks guys! It took a lot of work from a lot of people to pull this together so it's nice to know it was worth it :)
We use an updated renderer. You can also trick your install out with a couple other (unfinished) mods. Check out our wiki for more details: Thenamelessmod.com
Gelo, the "narrative consultant" :-)
Poor Fauntroy :( Such an awesome name.
That interview is actually embedded in part 2 of the post-mortem :D
OTP is not responsible for the results of such a marathon ;-)
Excellent modcast, loved the RTS coverage!
As to 'The Nameless Mod', it was originally just because we were too lazy to settle on a proper name. We always intended to go back and properly name the thing but after 7 years everyone already knew us as TNM and we didn't want to confuse the issue. Besides, it's just weird enough that you won't forget it! Although your explaination was good, too, Dave ;-)
Don't be scared ;-) We'll make it available on torrent and as many other download sources as possible.
I love the Splinter Cell series and this one in particular hit the mark. They managed a much smoother release than with Pandora Tomorrow and the Multi Player still rocks:-)
