Both hosts (Xaragoth and Otixa) are also working on this project.

As far as I know and from what I've seen from malu, he uses the standard stuff from StarCraft II mixed with some of the storymode models.
My Computer is only able to run StarCraft II on medium settings. That's why everything has lower quality and I can't record movies ingame.
We're planning to make a lot of custom assets. You can expect those to be optimized to look great in Third Person.

And BTW: malu and TKC joined our team, but they will also keep working on Project Vector.

I think I will be writing a news to cover everything that has happened with the development this mod.

It's a bit hard to explay here.
There are plenty of tutorials on that topic.
For example this one: Docs.google.com
This is just one of the possibilities to achieve this. The tutorial above is more oriented for RPG styled maps.
The basics (camera controls, keyboard events) are all handled in a similar way.

If you are new to mapping in starcraft II, I wouldn't recomment starting with third-person stuff.

It's done with the editor. And this is on a little above medium graphics settings, people who are able to play sc2 on ultra, will have better shader effects and Textures.
The Ghost is a placeholder, so it will be replaced with a more detailed model.

1) Release Date: When it's done.
It's a big project ,so normally I'd annouce it much later, but this project was started with wc3 using the RtC mod and is now being made for sc2. Thats the reason why I already have this moddb site.
I think it will take a year or even more time till the full release. Currently we're working on the basic stuff (movement, combat, interacting with objects) and the story (now that SCII is released)

2) Yes, you are also playing a Marine character. More on the characters and stuff will come later.
The style of the gameplay will be different depending on which character you play. (Marine = Action & Tactics, Ghost = Stealth).

3) No. Or at least not a serious attempt to make it multiplayer. That's because of the nature of the battle.net, which makes shooter type maps nearly unplayable because of massive traffic, when any key or mouse event is triggered, which causes player who aren't hosting the map to have delays, when they press a key.
I think it's important for a shooter to be able to react fast, and the current battle.net doesn't really allow that.

@WC4DT: It was for WC3 before SC2 was announced. We decided to make this Mod for SC2 later, mostly because of the better engine SC2 would offer.
