Check the my blog for more info and new stuff about my new Board Game Project. Stalker Clear Sky (the Board game) :)
First playable map will be taking place in Cordon section. With its outposts and terrains ;) this is the version of trader everyone knows Sidorovich-
Keep in mind, his prices are low and Victory points(VP)is the main goal in survival for you and your faction. His weapons are cheep in class, in other words of reality these are clone guns or rather used guns that still function but not in a fresh order.
It's Sidorovich, not -vitch :D Apart from that, I like the idea of including traders!
Woops my bad xD well spotted
Looks good as always, but referring to the description perhaps some where down the track you add a jamming feature, such as for new weapons the only way they will jam is if you roll one but for self-modified you need a 2 or better to avoid the jam, poor maintained weapons need a 4 or better. But on that note it looks awesome
Not sure if i mentioned it before m8 but the dice roll playd a BIG role back in the begining of the project mainly of its great function. ;) BUT we figured out some people dont own dice and alot of rolling here and there can lead up to dragging the time and lots of waiting that can lead people to just wanting to end the game quickly or the ''dice roll rage''. The new battle senario system is going to be great ;)
Other than that, great idea about the jamming and such. That really was our first goal in the begining of this project, to include dice rolls to both range and jamming in the guns. But once again since this is a major scale of decent amount of units on both sides it can drag long period of time before the 1rst battle even ends..... becouse the thing about dice is its all about karma and every rolls takes away the time and eventuelly joy (as i felt when i tryd it in this game) its just like a button basher game you click the same button over and over u know in the end it feals like ur rolling dice more than playing a game. ;)
Too true, I thought this was going to be small unit combat like 5 v 5 but now that I see what you mean the whole rolling dice would stray away from the game. Plus the fact of having tonnes of units on the 'field' at one time the amount of dice needed would be too big.
But perhaps having a weapon condition would effect the amount shots fired by the unit, like say a squad has a health factor of 30 and the attacking squad has 6 guys 1 of which has an old rifle or whatever. He gets one shot before a "jam" where as his squad mates gets 2 or 3. You know and then adding the total damage and so on. That's just an idea on how weapon condition could still be implemented in later. But thanks for getting back to me. :)
Awesome! Keep on the good work!
