Thanks for the reply! In searching for 'Elfor' it seems that him and 'ACC' (apparently short for 'Alias Conrad Coldwood') are somewhat active modders in the Kingpin community. Weirdly that didn't lead to any more info on the patch (maybe I just suck at Google), but I'll be sure to credit them both in the next update for Malice Refined which hopefully won't be too much longer.

And yeah, I probably would have never known about this Malice patch without stumbling across it here on Moddb, so thanks again!

Opened a forum section for feedback and bug reports - which are very much welcome since this mod is WIP. There's also a forum post up now with my todo list for the next release that will be updated as things are completed or bugs are found.

I'll probably make a few more maps myself as more features are added in order to test and show them off. CSQC HUD and options for toggling some of the new stuff (tracers, bulletholes, etc.) are next though and will take a while.

I've been working on this on and off since November and only really posted about it on 4chan's retro game board since there's a lot of guys into obscure shooters and mods over there. I actually only found out there is a Malice jam a few days ago because someone on there asked if I'm you (and I just now made the connection with your name). lol

Fortunately, any vanilla Malice map should be completely compatible with this mod, so I guess people can choose to play maps from the jam with it or not.

Thank you. I doubt this will cause a big outburst of Malice mapping, but hopefully a few maps will trickle out over the coming years. Mostly I want to give a less janky, 'what if Malice had more time in the oven' experience to both old fans, and those who may have stumbled across it more recently but couldn't really get into it.

Hello, I'm close to releasing a Malice overhaul mod based on this patch, but I'm a little confused on how to properly credit. The description on the download page says credits are in readmes, but PATCH1013.TXT doesn't have the name of whoever authored the patch (apologies if it is you and I've misunderstood) and everything else seems to relate to the original release of Malice. There are comments by an 'ACC' in the QuakeC sourcecode, but I'm unsure if that's an actual username or just shorthand. Any help would be appreciated!
