For anyone with a Radeon X1600 (Or any from that series?)

Disable your Catalyst A.I and the game works fine

Right-click desktop/Catalyst(TM)Control Center/3D/All Settings/Disable Catalyst A.I.

Apply and Ok.

Yup im using that one. I've tried a few now anyway from different sites 1.3.1.1302 and 1.3.1.1304 etc and non work (But the 1.3.1.1304 version is the one that get's me up to the 'Please wait' screen)

I mean i've waited ages at the please wait screen and there is no harddrive activity (= CRASH). and even if the game did work 20+mins to play a level is insane!!!

My serial number goes in fine, So it's not that either.
I've even used those no-cd cracks incase it was something stupid like it couldn't get past the cd-key screen. But it still doesn't work (Same crash)

I've tried doom3config.cfg resolution changes etc
Compatibilty changes (Xp sp2 mode etc)

It's giving me a headache -_-

Oh well, I've tried everything.

Clean restore vista (Latest drivers etc)
Doom 3 installed
Patch 1.3.1
darkmod folder to doom3 folder
Run game and it crashes on the 'please wait' screen

And it can't be my hardware cause i got duel-core and SATA 2 harddrive
Doom 3 itself actually run's on it's own

Im gonna give this mod 1 last change on the final? release. whenever that is. if not i'll just wait for thief 4 or play thief 3 for the 100th time and pretend it's this mod.

I even tried the comment that said load as a MOD and it does the same thing.

Only thing i can think of that is not making it work is the games resolution option isnt changing ? (I've put on center timing's and the menu's do not change size.. even on 1024x768 etc)

But even that doesn't make sense cause doom 3 is working fine...

Typical tho.. of all the mod's THIS one chooses not to work. -_-

I let it load for bout 15-20 mins (Fresh install as well) But it still doesnt work.

Im downloading your The Darkmod 1.00 (Corrected .zip file) version now and see if any luck with that.

As i downloaded your .torrent before.

Im having problems getting it to run.

Installed Doom 3
Installed Patch 1.3.1
Copyied darkmod folder into doom 3 folder
Clicked 'tdmlauncher' and got to the title screen
Clicked 'New Mission' , Training, Objectives, Start game etc

It load's the map with the red bar and say's Mission loading then Please wait... and does nothing and when i check task manager it say's 'Not responding' even after waiting for about 10mins.

But Doom 3 is working on it's own.

I've even changed the resoulution etc from your wiki guide also and non helped the issue.

Also i have UAC and all that disabled also.

BTW : I really like this mod also, i signed up actually just to comment cause i really want to play it.
