The game is frequently crashing for me when I play on my native resolution of 1920x1080, normally right after a level transition. It seems to always fix the crashing if I switch to a lower resolution, but of course, the game then looks like ***. I never get an error message or anything, it just freezes. Any ideas for something I might be able to set in the launch options that could make things run a little more smoothly? Any help would be appreciated.

I wrote up a review for this that's much too long to post as a comment. If anyone is interested, you can read it here: Tenfourmaps.telefragged.com

That link, by the way, leads to the forums on the "TenFour Maps" website which is an awesome website for getting single player mods, though unfortunately it's not updated too often anymore....

It's so great that you're parent let you use the computer by yourself.

It's definately not dead. There was an article on planethalflife.com last month where one of the members of the "They Hunger" team was answering questions, and they mentioned that they're busy play testing and incorporating all the finishing touches into the game, and also that it will almost definately be released before the holdiay season starts (personally, I'm hoping for news on a release date before halloween, as this would be a great game to play around that season). So yeah, it's not dead.

I followed the original They Hunger episodes each from when production had started on them to when they were finished, and the website for them (www.planethalflife.com/manke) had about two progress updates on each of them during the whole time they were in production. These guys are more about getting **** done then doing pointless "HERE ARE MORE PRETTY SCREENSHOTS!" updates, which I like even though it can get irritating never knowing exactly how much progress is being made. They're more about actually making the game then the whole P.R. aspect, which means they get stuff done faster even if it doesn't exactly do wonders for building up hype for what they're working on...which worked for a free mod, but I kinda worry how successful this strategy can be for a game people are actually going to pay for (and know nothing about, other than the fact the original games rocked). Still, I'm rooting for them. These guys are talented as hell, and I really hope they survive in the retail market.
