Look, Dominions 3 was my favorite strtategy game of all time, and Dom 4 improves upon it. Really the only thing you need to know about this game is whether it is yout cup of tea or not.

Dominions 4 is:
* turn-based
* micro-managey
* not flashy (graphic are simple, time spent in-game is almost all planning your actions, not waiting for animations to complete, etc.)

Still here? ok, Dominions is also:
* deep and complex - the micromanagement really matters
* inspired by world mythology - Hellenistic, Nordic, Celtic, Babylonian, Semitic, Taoist, Shinto, Hindu and more
* ideal for asynchronous multiplayer (we-go simultaneous turns)
* super-moddable: scripting's a breeze and the simple, iconic art makes it easy to make your own sprites.
* supported by a dedicated *and* friendly community of players and modders
