There's a book available called the Zombie Survival Guide, you guys should look it up and try to incorporate some of the "tips" it has available. I mainly mention that because due to your description you say vehicles will be very crucial, and the guide gives some tips as to which vehicles are optimal for zombie evasion. (Mainly, avoid cars and busses, stick to bikes.)

Plus it'd have some good ideas for anything else zombie related.

Using RPG Maker 2000 eh? You do realize that using RPG Maker 2000 translated into English is ILLEGAL correct? :D
