I agree, the level itself was nicely done, but it needs a plot and some length. Why are you fleeing? What happens after you get out of the city?

The shootout in the end was fairly simple if you use the vehicle as a cover and it kinda worked for me.

Okay, finished it and the vortigaunt boss fight was nice. Levels felt much better in the end as they were smaller and narrower and easier to navigate through. The end with all those combines didn't feel quite right as they didn't fit the Cthulhu athmosphere, but there were some nice details, like the observatory and the experiment chambers.

Summa summarum, your mod has nice potential, but it lacks something that would make it feel right, if you know what I mean.

I was really looking forward to this, but I got pretty disappointed. Don't get me wrong, the idea is excellent, I couldn't think of a better engine for a Cthulhu-game than Source.

But the levels are just too wide. Narrow them down to make the player feel more claustrophobic. The hallway in the mansion feels like it equals two football fields. Also there is too many zombies coming at you, it would work better if there would be fewer of them and even less ammo. That would keep the tension up, you never know what is coming at you. Now it's just "ah, more zombies, yay" and then you either run or hack, hack, hack your way.

In the dining room I thought I had to break the glass and escape, that would be the one thing I'd do in real life.

Love the way you've made light and shadows, they add to the Cthulhu feeling.

Haven't played till the end yet, but I'll try to finish it and see what else comes to my mind.

I had some difficulties first. Changed my settings to widescreen and restarted and got this:

Error: Can't find materials/console/thecitizen_bg1_widescreen.vtf

So the widescreen version for the opening pic is missing, right?

I got it working however by simply copying thecitizen_bg1.vtf and renaming it to *_widescreen.vtf.

Anyhow, an awesome mod!
