good to know nothing much changed with mod graphics, I am on a different tv and different computer than I normally use, and I will tinker more with the resolutions or go back to my older rig. Thanks for the mod.

In settings when I auto detect it sets it at 1024 X 768, which I have matched with my desktop resolution, when I set it to widescreen, on the battle map it looks really crummy. I literally, if not for the banners, would hardly be able to see the stirland infantry in the grass. Did something change in the graphics? Does anyone have any suggestions? Thanks.

I do not care for CA's campaign map, it feels too contrived, gimmicky. It is the strategy of the campaign map that compels me to fight all of the real time battles, and sadly in the new Warhammer Total War game I find myself auto resolving--and on very hard that gets old real quick. Maybe in a couple of years it will be a much better game?

I do not mind waiting especially if the standards remain high. I am doing another play through of Oblivion rather than the new Total War game though.

I had some problems when launching through steam. I can go days without a crash when launching from the bat file like has been suggested.

This mod, as is, is the best game I have played in awhile. It is worth figuring out how to get it to run properly.

Thanks djhollister. This is my 1st time playing skaven but I have been following this blog and picked up some tips along the way about how difficult their start is. So yeah roads and kennels were the 1st thing built everywhere. I abandoned a couple of castles for consolidation purposes, made peace with chaos dwarves and brettonians , and took it too the lizardmen hard. Still trying to finish them off for control of lustria. And I am liking the little rats for their uniqueness. They are a bargain. Having fun with it. Peace out.

Hey y'all. Can anybody please explain the significance of the skaven general packmaster unit that starts out the game in the skaven capitol. Its stats are a little weak, especially for a low soldier count unit. I see that it has 3 hp, but I do not see anything else special about it other that being able to inspire troops. I imagine it is lore based and would like to play it accordingly. Any info would be appreciated, thanks.

I just lost a full unit of wood elf treemen charging a dwarven cannon from a bit of an angle. The treemen had just gotten amongst the cannoniers, when there was like this big explosion. I kept waiting in disbelief for my treemen to get up and rally, but they never did. May they RIP.

Hey I want to amend yesterday's comments that I made. I replayed the beginning of an Ostland campaign this morning and was not able to take the Brass Keep till turn 3. I lost a lot of guys but the general units will replenish and I got 9000 gold from demolishing chaos castle upgrades to make new units.

Oh yeah it can be difficult and demoralizing when the empire gangs up, especially the first couple of times it happened to me. Now I pretty much see them as the enemy out the gate. I am looking forward to playing the updated version a lot and havent decided yet who I am going to play as yet. I think whenever it does come out I will get everything installed and wake up fresh to a new day of marathon gaming, and decide over coffee while perusing the new unit rosters. Cheers buddy.

Take out the Brass Keep on the 2nd turn, focus aggressively on Hochland and don't stop until you have Talabheim too. Not too bad then. Gather forces and wait for Middenheim to fall and swoop in. Do the same with Marionburg (the rebel army is tough though). I think playing Nordland is harder than Ostland, but not as hard as Kislev. I have way more fun when it is challenging. And sometimes I will fight a crucial battle twice ;)

This sounds awesome. I am really looking forward to playing it. I shelved Attila not long after release. I am going to dust it off now. Thanks.
