Well, for some reason I can't post on your forums, always get the error, that I must sign in to make a post (although I am already signed in). So I have to make my suggestions and questions here again:

1. Maybe it would be better to implement a realistic hand movement/shaking animation, while you are aiming, so that it is not that easy to perform headshots and not that esay to kill zombies that quick.

2. What about a riot shield to repel a bunch of zombies and hold them off for a while (after time, the glass could get cracks until the shield is useless and has to be thrown away)?

3. Will there be any zombies with special abilities?

4. Will the mod be scary? I mean, in L4D for example I never got a feeling of scariness and horror (I really missed it). Do you try to make it scary as hell (by sounds, scripted events or special effects) or is there another priority?

5. What about flamethrowers?

6. What about explosive weapons?

7. Will the mod feature any new graphical effects as dynamic color correction, weather, film grain or something like that?

Thanks for answering!

Thanks again for your quick reply!

"For the first bit about them reacting individually to impacts, that is almost impossible to do on Source. I say "almost" because normally you'd get the physics engine to do that (Source's physics cannot), but for Source you'd need to have these canned animations that are pre-made for all these things... That's a lot of animations."

How is it handled in L4D then?

I just would like to see, that the zombies have a more visible hit reactions. For example in this old trailer:
Youtube.com @ 0:45 where a female zombie is repeled.

"and will there be zombies lying around and raise, if the player is close enough (HL2)?" By that I meant: Playing dead.

And I almost forgot one question: Will melee weapons take damage (break and crack) from using, so that they become inefficient/useless and you have to throw it away?

I asked that before, but I guess my post was missed, so again:

Is it planned to implement a kind of movement interactivity (I don't know how I should name it) for the zombies like in L4D?
I mean for example, that hitting their arms make them swing their shoulders backwards or constant firing push them backwards against the wall, while shooting into the legs make them fall or something like that?

And two other questions:

Will the zombies get any interesting idle animations (in L4D they have a hang-over for example) and will there be zombies lying around and raise, if the player is close enough (HL2)?

And will a few zombies holding items/melee weapons as a shovel or something like that like in the Resident Evil movie or They Hunger (just holding, not using but losing after they have been killed)?

Thanks for answering!

Thank you for the fast reply!

1. K, so they are much tougher, than L4D zombies I hope. :) How much can they take?

2. Great! I hope the zombies are also going to stagger backwards, if you shove/bash them (that is, what I loved in L4D for example).

3. I understand.

Awesome mod!

Only one little suggestion: The shield should not only hurt, but also push the zombies back, so that they stagger backwards and maybe tumble, too.

I just wanna mention three things:

1. The zombies appear really weak here. I hope they are going to be stronger and absorb more hits in the final version.

2. It would be great, if you could make a repel animation with all of your weapons (like in L4D) to push back a bunch of zombies, if they come to close.

3. Zombies could stagger/sway backwards, if you hit them.
