I just did a clean reinstall and used the patch and I get this:

Make sure you select regular program files instead of X86.

Run it as admin

Or at least keep original backup folders of whatever files the mods touched. I didn't do it and now I have to re install (which takes forever)

Definitely make sure you are not using other mods with this patch.

I supposed this is the fixed patch.

seems to crash when ESC key is used.

I should add using admin mode and running under XP compatibility seemed to help.

FINALLY. After a lengthy re install it works!

Yeah I'm also getting a CTD. You get the Lost Alpha screen and then black screen and back to desktop.

How (approx) long does it take for the "installing main game files" to complete for you?

It's the common thing with PC games. You have so many different setups (and competency of users) that issues are inevitable.

Yeah I recall doing that in CoP.

I think a lot of people don't have router/network settings correct for optimal use of torrents.

It's a full game here. They don't have the option of STEAM or dvd release so distribution will take a bit.

It's single player - you can pick it up whenever.

I would have gladly waited even longer if not for the leak and sudden release.

It will be out when it comes out. I don't think we are 12 years old anymore and need to get upset over games. Go study, read, play other games, etc and as soon as you know it LA will be here

Funny how all those guys died from making that film.

Nah forget CryEngine. Better to have it's own unique engine like X-Ray that gives the game that distinct look. And multiplayer/MMO are the most profitable methods in the gaming industry.
