*stupid model, how its supposed to be reloaded lol >.<
if u want something compact, take W2000*
Uh, it's bolt action? Pull bolt up and back, clear the breach, charge another round in the chamber from the magazine. Repeat.
Also, The WA2000 is a semi-auto, and only just slightly smaller in length to this in retrospect so yeah. Plus the WA is more of a collectors rifle than something easily acquired by someone such as Jun, judging from her backstory.
Good points methinks, I'm just so used to high-poly stuff. I can easily knock down the polycount (especially in the scope, got a few too many sides on that thar scope) and as Ging says with normal mapping I can do those indented areas on the fore. Will need to re-unwrap it afterwards but that takes 5 minutes anyway :D
As ever, even when finished, my work is always WIP :P
ps. I personally blame the CSS community for the overall idea that high-poly = good. Not for me personally, I just stepped down from car modelling, to weapons and props. But some of those guys are putting together 10k+ triangulated models for PISTOLS. It's insane.
Oh snap, CL is still alive D:
Cant wait to see some of the new features Haunter bud. Hope it goes well.
ps. get on msn you git :3
You die, thats it. Beta 2 has a feature which helps make this more tolerable.
It's funny, you keep banging on about how the mod "failed" and how Minuit must think it sucks because he left the team. Some of us dont want to be stuck doing the same thing over and over. We like to move onto bigger and better things, better engines, better SDK's etc. Minuit (as his leaving post emphasised) just wants to try some other engines / chill out for a while.
It's called progression, nobody wants to be stuck doing the same thing for 2 to 3 years with a community that's opinions change with the wind. I left my position of weapons modeller recently so I could pursue other projects, but stayed a part of the forum team to offer tips and whatever I could provide. Minuit did the same thing, except he passed the role of Mod Leader to Ackart, who is more than capable of the position.
Seriously, get out.
You play as one of several (as in more than two) protagonists, "average joes" as you will, caught up in an extraordinary situation. There are no "hero characters" as such to start with, that is decided in game when you either act as a hero, or a coward.
Stay tuned for more progress :)
