Max welcome to the internet. A place where everyone is very vocal about what they think they want only to question its authenticity when they get it.

By the way when are we getting this ship? S-media-cache-ak0.pinimg.com ;)

I'll see myself out....... "Alert unauthorized use of airlock on deck 6"

Short answer: No.
Long answer: when in game reduce your graphics settings to the lowest and apply. then change them back to your preferred setting. should fix the issue.

I can understand that one. Whenever i get an error on my machine it usually spews out the one error code that is almost always not documented. Anyway good to hear you got it fixed.

Sorry to ask but you did re-apply LAA after the update? This happened with the previous update as well if I recall correctly.

Try deleting the Mod. Then re-download the STA3: A Call To Arms 1.1 Full Version Zip and then run with that. The installer version was buggy for people and the patch zip is not needed with the 1.1 full zip file.

AMD Phenom 8150 (8-core)
Nvidia GTX 580

On Evil AI stuttering starts tolerable and just gets worse. going to try with easier AI to see if it makes a difference

There are 3 ways

1) Move your Documents folder to another drive (http://windows.microsoft.com/en-gb/windows/redirect-folder-new-location#1TC=windows-7)
2) Use an NTFS Junction Link to remap the mods folder to a different drive.
3) Move your Profile to another drive. (This i quite hard to achieve with a working system)

The health on that Cardassian Starbase was a bit unexpected, and yes it was at full health when the fleet got there and had been engaging it for quite some time before I noticed what was happening.

Questions?

1) What is the spec of your machine e.g. Processor, RAM, Graphics card?

2) Have you tried using LAA?

3) What are your Graphics settings set to in game?

Without this information we can't really help you...

I've destroyed 3 Cardassian ones in one game so far. The Feds and Klingons haven't built one yet

I've seen IE do this out of the box, due to its enhanced security feature which can be a royal PITA.

If you know the make and model head over to the crucial website and enter those details into their memory checker. The site will tell if the laptop will take 8GB and what RAM to buy, you can even buy from them.

To see if you have 64bit windows then find you 'My Computer' or 'Computer' icon on the desktop or Start Menu, right click and select 'Properties' and it will tell you if its 32 or 64 bit.

Definitely sounds like the graphics card is causing your issues. The problem with integrated graphics is that most of them use the system RAM in order to work, and with only 4GB to play with on your system you would hit an issue quite easily, especially as you have used LAA to let Sins use more memory.

The only solutions i can see are A) Close down all programs that could be using lots of memory, AV, Chrome, etc. B) Upgrade the RAM to 8GB, if your running a 64bit version of windows and the laptop allows it or C) replace the machine.

I'm afraid the options for laptops are limited.

Sounds like the system could be fighting itself for resources. If you can i'd suggest upping the RAM to 8GB, you'd be surprised how much it can help.

To put it into perspective my rig with an 8 core processor, 24GB RAM, nVidia gtx 580 with 1.5GB of memory and SSD, ran version 1 of the mod perfectly, without LAA, only lagging when in a battle with klingon ships, however when running this version it crashed after about 40mins of game play.

Seems rather odd. I know you mentioned that the base game runs fine but have you tried other mods?

Also what type of machine are you using PC, Laptop. etc....

Have a look at the read me. I downloaded the zip file and the laa.exe file was in the root of the zip file. Not sure where the installer puts it.

I had similar texture issues. Try going into the effects menu and altering all the settings in the 7 boxes at the bottom. I had to up both the ships and buildings settings to highest to get textures on all the ships.

I tried upping just the ship textures but then lost some textures on other ships, so upped the building textures and everything worked. I also discovered why my graphics looked so poor on the old version as everything was set to medium.

Whoo its out :).

We are the Borg resistance is fut........ wait where'd our fleet go......... as a Borg player i'm not accustomed to the kind of losses that i took last night against the Federation of all players, probably my fault for only sending the Trapezoid, Queen's diamond and a couple of interceptors :). But dat Queen's ship is a thing of beauty...

Oh and please tell me the Borg can assimilate those Tholian cruisers, they must be made to service the Borg.

Shouldn't affect it, as the dlc will patch the main game. You will probably have to re-apply LAA after installing Forbidden Worlds.

Great Mod guys keep up the good work. Here's hoping the Borg in CTA will be just as terrifying as the current version. (maybe more so...)

So I was playing around with the DEV exe, and the Mod files, to gain a better appreciation of all the hard word that has gone into this mod and look what happened..... (lets see who can spot it in 1st screenshot without looking at the others)
