Hi, I'm Ifunga Ndana,I live in Zambia, and I love to create video games, almost more than actually playing them. My first project was THE SCND GENESIS: LEGENDS, an open source 2D turn based fighter written in Java. I'm currently working on its sequel, THE SCND GENESIS: CHROME edition. Its also written in Java but it uses OpenGL via JOGL for 3D rendering. Its shaping up well, I hope to make it more fun, dynamic and deeper than Legends. Well that's about it, feel free to contact me or add me as a friend

Lovely looking game. Art style reminds me of Pokemon, but on a large scale :)

SubiyaCryoliteEX @ Creating a 3D character

Great article. Ive always have a hard time converting my 2D art into 3D models, that's why my current project is 2.5D only >_<

SubiyaCryoliteEX @ The SCND Genesis :: Legacy announcement

Hi, the games source code is available here, Sourceforge.com . All the classpath dependancies are in the lib folder of the file you already downloaded. Regarding the names, you got them right. I used Jenesis Engine as the games codename during development, perhaps I should shorten it to SG: Legends, SG: Legacy etc. Take care.

SubiyaCryoliteEX @ THE SCND GENESIS: LEGENDS default translation file

Just in case you were wondering, this file is normally placed either in your home directory (Linux) or in the folder inwhich you executed the .jar (Windows). The game generates one by default, though you can override it. If you do translate the game into any language please share it with the community. Thanks.

SubiyaCryoliteEX @ How can we lower game piracy?

Games should be priced appropriately depending on regions. $60 for a retail game makes sense for America, however, it doesn't make sense in parts of Europe or Africa. I wouldn't mind waiting a few months before a regional release at a sensible price. However, indie games are relatively cheap, $9.99 to 29.99 max, there should be no reason to pirate indies.
