Hi Zybba, thank's alot for your comment, its always appreciated. The weapon may appear like that because its in short stock in the concept, the shoulder stock is retractable by grabbing and pulling from the top just behind the sight lens. 70% of the stock is housed inside the weapon, what we tried doing is create a weapon that can be easily converted from long fire range to short, so we gave it a short front base, a short nozzle, and a very nifty stock mechanism. In development of this mod, we are trying to immitate what our standard weapons we have now might look like in 80 years time. We assume the difference wont be monumental like a star wars laser gun, so we're trying make things more compact but keep that same flair these weapons have now.
Hi, my apologies to everyone for the change of game, because of the extremely tedious and slow support that Treyarch is giving for its mod tools, we had no alternative but to switch to Cryengine3. We're seeing it as a much better approach in the long run, as it is an extremely mod friendly game which can also provide some stunning visuals.
I am still in the process of ensembling a team, I am about half way there, so we're still on the look out for quality modders!

Good question. What I was planning was to seperate the actual model and the helmet. Like that there can be a guard patrolling with his visor open and then when things heat up other guards with their visors closed. + like this you can shoot it off. :P :)

Have to agree, from what I see this was a fantastic model with very cleanly baked normals, this texture isn't even close to up to par, and is diminishing what is a very good model. It's a waste of your modelers skills.
Yep were going to keep that statue as him, and were planning a character with this more detailed sculpt.

I'm loving this, you guys should model and texture semi trucks and jumbo jets and allow the gravity gun to throw those about. :P

For the first map there will not be any vehicles as the level is mostly indoor combat. However we maybe be able to do something in future maps. :)

Hey fraser thanks for your comment bro, the entire soldier mesh is around 10,000 polygons, we're going to apply normal maps directly from zbrush, It wont look exactly like this but hopefully pretty close. :)
Yeah FeareD really puzzled me, because I'm sure the colours were correct. Anyway I took the Bronze out and replaced it with a grey/silver, hope you guys like this better. :)
Fantastic work on the texturing and rendering guys. But it is a bit over done, as obviously this will look nothing like it does in this render once it is in game.
All in all great work though. ;)

We're using HK416's rifles in our mod, does this mean I have to get intellectual property rights from heckler and koch?
There's pepsi, sprite, mountain dew etc vending machine skins in some of the counter strike servers I have played in, did they get property rights?
Honestly dont worry about stuff like that, unless you report us little wee modders to Pepsi, its all banging. :)
Great comment. We are trying to get gameplay in the middle of Insurgency and CS, but objectives obviously will be completely different. Tactics still are going to play a big role, for example with the Zigana pistol, were implementing a system where You will have auto (full clip burst) or single fire. You can either play it safe and take single shots from distance with good accuracy, or run in and spray your enemy with a full clip through your pistol. But this burst still may be in-effective and you may just leave a trail of bullets around your enemy. :)

Nah mate its not dead, the groups just having a tough time organizing individuals etc.

Great work, but I think this mod really deserves original character models. Maybe create some new models by working around your re-skinned cs ones.
