Sorry, I did not look at the other 9 pages, but I fixed a crash (upon hitting the repair/upgrade button,) with Fox in Cordon, by unpacking the 1.3 scrips and replacing the area around line 131 with the same info from the db0. scripts folder, and putting that into the gamedata folder.
Great fun so far, especially after editing the traders to be a little more lenient with degraded weapons.

Edit : CheekySP, yes, I unpacked it and that's what it seems to do.

Me again, fixed it by copying the i_u.script lines to the 1.3 update.

Hello chaps, loving the game so far, although going to fox to get some upgrades results in a freze with this in the log:

[error]Arguments : LUA error: ... alpha dc\gamedata\scripts\inventory_upgrades.script:331: attempt to index local 'item' (a nil value)

Its also a bit crashy, this is with the 1.3 update with weapons+patch.

I wanted to edit the trader files, so I unpacked it with the STALKER_Data_Unpacker_EN.exe that I put into the 3rdparties folder
with the console argument "converter.exe -unpack -xdb" no "". then I just dropped the dbx onto console, for the file, it did it in a few seconds.

gHOST, do me a flavour, as you have no doubt extracted the "misc" folder, from 1.4005, with the traders ltx, could you pop that folder up somewhere, I tried unpacking but my computer said "non",

errrm, nope, i am an idiot and forgot the ao patch.

just make sure your tinfoil hat has at least 4 mm of aluminium everywhere, if you want to be really safe, you need to find something large and copper, like a saucepan, and make a partial faraday cage, alternativly you can use regular copper wire and weave it into a hat and face protector, but make sire to be safe and leave plenty (at least 2m) of wire free so you can easily move when you plug it into the mains. (make sure to use a rare earth socket!!)

You know in the matrix, when things get changed, you see deja vu, and odd glitches?
well, same is true of the zone, it meddles, its pernicious, those jerks bumps and full on microfreezes are people being woken up.

If this could be limited to areas adjacent to where you are only, it would be sublime.
As it is, my non potato computer is a little jerky, Maybe I will just leave it for a bit to settle down next try.

Ah, awesome, thanks, I just did a flurry of "ohh, looks useful" dl's, and just noticed that your adjustment is for 1.3, so, Glad you are willing to keep it updated.

Please ignore the above, I extracted into the wrong folder, durr.

Perhaps an idiot question : the folder names for this and coc don't match up, is this intended? (for instance Config Vs Configs).

ooooofff... right in the nostalgia, an atari stfx would have been awesome too, or a spectrum.

For future reference: Notepad ++ is very god for editing many text, xml etc files.

Being forced to restart the game a couple of times is not a bad thing in my opinion, as you refine what you are going to do very quickly; get and mod the MP5 to use smaller rounds, etc. the cars are gold dust to ocd freaks like myself, so getting one is the next thing I do, so bandit jacket asap.
Everyone agrees that the LA versions of vanilla places are great, I'm really enjoying the little differences as well as the big ones.
