The Elder Scrolls: Total War

Mod review may contain spoilers

This mod is simply awesome. It takes two of my favorite games of all time and combines them together. That alone is worth points in my book.

With the 1.4 update this mod has seen vast improvements overall. Valenwood now has a playable faction, with archers that will shred basically everything they shoot at. The hiring of mercenaries is handled much differently, requiring you to build a lvl 2 or 3 Fighters guild building to recruit certain units. And the biggest change of all is that you can now build improvements in all settlements and upgrade them. Remember those useless villages for Great House Redoran that only caused rebellions or tied up troops to keep them controlled? They're fixed now. :)

The world map has also been changed somewhat. So far I've noticed the western mountain range of Skyrim being extended, with a southern rebel city acting as another choke point. Valenwood is now able to attack northern Elsweyr and vice versa due to the dividing mountain range being opened somewhat, and has also become very heavily wooded to create multiple choke points, ripe with opportunities for ambushes.

Very good mod for those willing to give it a try. I'm looking forward to what this mod team brings out with the next update.

Sins of a Galactic Empire

Mod review

This mod is entirely unbalanced and very confusing to play. Perfect example of fixing something that isn't broken in so many ways. Looks very nice, but I can't say anything more that's positive about it.

Made some nice changes, but also made some bad ones in my opinion. Made the gameplay so slow that I couldn't bother to finish a match on the smallest map available. It made Ogame(one of the RTS browser MMOs that I play) seem fast. And it can take hours to do anything in that game.

Not saying it is a terrible mod in istelf, but it simply isn't for me.
