Is it possible to use if you have Dawn of War Soulstorm installed with Steam? Because I can't seem to get fxtools to work.

Unless said guardsmen have lascannons, plasma guns, melta guns, airstrikes, tanks, artillery, and massive numbers.
Looks a little bit too slow, but still very nice.
Or they could buff special attacks so they do more damage. All special attacks in general should be buffed, in my opinion.
Please, don't be ridiculous. There was no "debate." SHASUI is just an average, run-of-the-mill, punk *** troll looking for a reaction. I guess some people just have nothing better to do, am I right?
If somebody doesn't agree with your opinions, that doesn't mean they are stupid and ignorant. Most people in today's society can agree to disagree; I'm sorry you lack the courtesy to do so.
Also, please explain to me what you consider "wrong" or "********," so I can educate you. As far as I'm concerned, sound facts and logic don't count as "********." SHASUI hasn't responded with any coherence to any of my posts, so he lost.
I have to give you some points for irony, though. Good job on that.
It kinda reminds me of Darkspore as well.
So Battlemage didn't even say he wanted titans deleted, and you imply that I agree with an imaginary statement? Derpo, I don't even know how to respond to that. You're a special kind of crazy, aren't you?
And here you go again with this whole "argument" thing. What are you, a brick wall? There IS no argument. What argument are you talking about?! I provided constructive criticism about titans. That's it. Then you had to jump into the equation because you wanted attention. Well, you sure got my attention.
I'm constantly insulting you because it's fun, and you wholeheartedly deserve it. This is between you and me, pal. I don't care if I look very rude and uncivilized, you pathetic crybully.
If you don't like getting burned, then don't play with fire. Next time, maybe you will think twice about starting a flame war with someone you don't know. Have a nice day. ;)
Dawn of War looks better than most games today in my opinion. And titans do not move slowly. It's obvious you don't know much about Warhammer 40k. Scout class titans are very fast and agile, they can run around in cities, smash through buildings, and even run circles around bigger titans.
You're the one being a jerk in the comment section, don't try to turn it around. All you're doing is calling people trolls for having a different opinion. You said it yourself, "normal people don't insult others for expressing an opposite opinion. only trolls do." But that's exactly what you're doing. So, you're not only a self-proclaimed troll, but a bad one at that. Now you just got your *** handed to you, and I'll gladly do it again if you post another troll comment, and have fun while doing it.
Btw, it's hilarious you think I'm Battlemage just because I defended him.
Battlemage is right, this game engine just isn't designed to handle titan-sized units. It takes forever for them to move anywhere, and the big, unpolished effects look like an eyesore that covers up half the screen.
Maybe if they ignored collision they would work better, even if that meant stepping through tanks and buildings. Technically it would make sense, even though it wouldn't look pretty.
Don't call Battlemage a troll, he actually has some valid points that should be considered. Not trying to dump on your work or anything. I love this mod. Just providing some constructive criticism where it's due. Please, don't hate on a guy for having different opinions. If you were to insult any judge or critic IRL, you would be ripped apart in a heartbeat.
Haha, I just noticed that grenade too.
The only thing I don't like is that stripe on the bottom half of his robe.
It's definitely an improvement, but it looks too bright compared to the old one. Does it have better performance? Especially love the bolter btw, looks beautiful.
I don't think it would've died. I still comeback to vanilla every now and I've come to realize it is one of the most well-balanced RTS games ever. The developers at Relic certainly knew what they were doing. Nothing beats the original!
What about the missile launchers? I mean, it costs 360/80 to have heavy weapon teams with missile launchers which have a reload time of 5. That's a lot of resources. Each of those heavy weapon teams would have to kill about two vehicles in order to be cost-effective, which isn't gonna happen.
To give a comparison, the missile launcher turret is cheaper, reloads in 2 seconds, does relatively the same damage, and doesn't die instantly when something touches it.
Gotta say I love the new effect for the landspeeder multi melta. Well done! Now if only all melta guns had that effect..
But it's pointless. They already have artillery.
Btw, is there a chance Imperial Guard infantry could get a buff? More specifically, heavy weapons teams. They are quite an investment at 240 requisition, and they don't seem to do a lot of damage before they die. Infantry armies don't seem to be viable because they simply lack damage, even with full upgrades and plasma guns.
When are shared hotkeys going to be fixed for Imperial Guard? For example, whenever I try to attack move with guardsmen, they make standard bearers instead.
The new devastator VO is so cringeworthy I have to turn off voice volume whenever I play space marines. It's that bad.
What? I don't see anything.
Capitol Imperialis: Imperial Guard's version of the Necron Monolith.
Actually that's a dumb comparison. This is way stronger than a monolith.
If I'm not mistaken, devastator squads should have missile launchers, and not tactical squads.
Does anyone else get a giant "bad fx" square on the shokk attack gun turret? I've reinstalled the mod a couple times, but it's still there.
Please don't downvote for no reason. If you think these ideas are stupid, at least explain why.
Is it just me, or does the Eldar seem extremely weak? I was playing against Chaos Daemons, and I had a sizable war host consisting of dark reapers, guardians, heavy weapon platforms, warp spiders, striking scorpions, harlequins, soul walkers, and a few falcon grav tanks.
When the daemons attacked, my striking scorpions didn't stand a chance against their melee units, mostly Fiends of Slaanesh with a couple bloodletters. My ranged units took forever to kill anything, even when focusing fire. The starcannons from my grav tanks were especially ineffective. Their daemon lord destroyed all of my soul walkers in close combat like it was nothing.
Here's what I think..
Guardians: cost should be reduced, so they can be used as cannon fodder for the Eldar, similar to conscripts, but slightly stronger.
The majority of heavy weapons should have their damage increased. They just seem to weak for the Eldar's highly advanced weapon technology. To compensate, reduce the health of all Eldar vehicles. Big change, I know, but it would help to differentiate Eldar from other races. It would give them a real identity.
Striking Scorpions: increase health, armor, and damage against infantry and heavy infantry. Have them move slower because they wear heavy armor.
Howling Banshees: Reduce health, but dramatically increase weapon damage against all units, reduce reload speed, and increase morale damage. Have them leap into combat, without knockback because they are not heavy. This will further differentiate them from striking scorpions.
Howling Banshees: Fragile, fast-moving assault units, flipping around in the air screaming, being super crazy and loud, wrecking enemy morale. They do very high damage, but are killed quickly if they are focused.
Striking Scorpions: Frontline melee specialists, cold and calculating, waiting for the perfect time to lash out and strike, taking enemies by surprise. Their heavy armor allows them to withstand a lot of punishment,
Dark reapers should be more effective against vehicles and buildings, whereas warp spiders should be more effective against infantry and heavy infantry.
Wow, that post was longer than I expected. Well, there you have it.
Anything is possible in WH40k.
I'm making my own version of the mod where all artillery weapons have a substantial minimum range.
Twin-linked autocannons mounted on the chaos dreadnoughts don't even scratch heavy infantry or light vehicles. Can you buff them please?
This idea has some serious potential.
