i've tried both UI options (default and non-scaling) in Kentie's launcher and i can't figure out how to get the menus/HUD/infolink/text to look usable/legible. i've also tried a variety of renderers and resolutions. Everything in the environment looks as it should. What am i missing?

Right, i understand about the shared resources. Maybe that's a job for the Revision folks.

i've also noticed that Manderley's name is spelled wrong on the name placard outside his office, "integrated" is misspelled on the assault rifle schematics poster, and there's a lot of instances all over the place where "it's" and "its" are getting mixed up. The rule of thumb i give everyone is that "its" is the possessive and "it's" is a contraction for "it is," only.

By the way, on Hong Kong now. The new textures you have so far are dazzling, from the tapestries in Lucky Money and Maggie Chow's, to the frosted glass in Old China Hand, to the lighted signs all over the place. i continue to be dazzled by how these high resolution textures really make everything pop!

Oh, i forgot to mention, i love the change to the OpenGL renderer. i noticed on this older game with the newer video cards/drivers that textures in the distance wouldn't show up at all and close-ups of textures looked weird, green and grainy on the default renderer. This mod is great for multiple reasons.
This might not be feasible, but another note on the topic of spelling, would it be possible to observe American spellings for things in NY, Area 51, etc. and British/International spellings in places like HK when there's a difference?

I've played through some of it so far, and in many respects i'm very impressed. Much of the new Hell's Kitchen is dazzling! (i've yet to visit HK, but from the looks of a YouTube video that brought me here, that may very well be the cream of the crop. i look forward to getting there.) However, i personally find a few decisions to be somewhat bizarre. First of all, it's odd that the `Ton should have two desk clerks, and one of them assuming a bum's lines ("Stay out of the `Ton, bro...") on top of it. I could see what you were trying to do, but i don't think it worked. Also, shouldn't the `Ton be a crummy little fleabag of a hotel? It's gotten a bit opulent.

The new UNATCO HQ is beautiful, but perhaps there's a better way to do it, considering the levels are now mixed up. It sort of destroys the immersion for me.

The NSF Hideout is pretty impressive, but it seems to me it's not faithful to the story that UNATCO largely has not infiltrated any of it.

Also, just a question, do the changes still allow the player to take a variety of routes through a map, where he could potentially still get through without firing a single shot if he wanted to? That concept of multiple solutions is sort of the touchstone of what Deus Ex is about.

i don't mean to be a crank, i hope some of this helps.

The textures so far look great. The only gripe i have is that there're a few glaring misspellings here and there that mar the experience of immersion. Just a couple examples: "island" has been spelled "iisland" on the UNATCO signs on Liberty Island, and on the war memorial in Battery Park, the word needs to be "remembrance," not "rememberance."
