Are you implying that you dont have DirectX 9?

When I first got this game I had a friend who complained that there were no silenced weapons. Do I have something to show him!

And yes I am installing the mods to :
C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\SourceMods

Before I DL this, I'd like to know if I can get a little help with a problem that I seem to have with Source mods.

When I DL a mod thats not off Steam, I have major problems with the mod. Things like not being able to interact with anything (like doors) and not being able to find key items unless they are in the game that is being modded (E.G. Half-Life 2 items will only appear and not custom ones. This includes NPC and player models). When I check in the console to see if the object loaded it lists something along the lines of "This object/animation/script doesn't exist or cant be loaded" If there is a solution to this problem please help me.

P.S. I have every Half Life Source game, TF2, Portal, CS:S, Day of Defeat: Source, GMOD10 and L4D+L4D 2

A team of highly skilled lads with computers and a great idea can make anything. Thats why I love PC and Source.

When I load the game it works fine, menus and stuff, but when I acctually play, there is no one to shoot and only the Half Life 2 Weapons appear. I have Half Life 2 and CS:Source.

BTW this seems like a recurring theme for me. whenever I download a Source mod thats not off of steam there are major problems like not being able to interact with NPCs as I'm supposed to or not being able to see weapons or enemies. Both HL2 and CS:S (Plus all of the other source games) work perfectly on my computer. Does anyone know whats wrong?
