Hey. thought i would stard off my moddb account off by introducing myself here before i go looking for some mods to join.

i'm 18 years of age, and live in wiltshire. i have just finished my A levels and will be taking a gap year in february and until then i will be working. However i should still have plenty of time to work on concet art and stuff. The only way i could think of getting a decent portfolio together before uni in sept 2009 was to commit myself to something.

i have been studying fine art at my schools 6th form for the past 2 years at As and A2. got high A grades last year and hopefully the same this year.

my favorite things to draw would have to be cartoon characters and human figures. they are so complex and exiting! and learning how to perfect them is driving me up the wall.

i have to say i am a perfectionist. if it aint good enough it gets binned. unfortunately some of what i bin would probably be considered very good! i have tryed to stop this behaviour recently and am very slowly building a portfolio. (i will get some pics up asap) prety much all the artwork i have done over the last year i put into my school portfolio in the hope of getting a few extra marks. so i have very little to show you currently. my next step is to start some projects outside of school so i can earn some respect from people, as an artist rather than as a schoolkid who draws stuff.

i do have photoshop and a good graphics tablet. so i can use that in concepts if necesarry. allthough my skills arent vast in this area i have learnt the basics of the brush tool! and am currently trying to make some half decent skin tones. and getting frustrated!

anyway, if you read this without seeing any of my work your probably either nosy or just slightly odd! however if you have seen any pics after i get them up, then please leave comments as i wish to improve greatly over the next year. i especially want to hear form more experienced artists, and their views. As the best way to learn is to listen! however please done flame me if you cant do better yourself, criticism is accepted and is helpful to me but insults and abuse wont help anyone improve them selves in any dimension. :D thanks cya
