Just because I'm old and now no good at most games doesn't mean you should make the experience worse. Someday you'll be old too.

I used to lament regarding books that there were too many to read and not enough time. That lament still holds and also applies to music, to videos, to "must-see" TV and movies and now to computer games especially with the Indie scene exploding.

A person could truly devote a life pursuing nothing but computer games to which many would say what a waste of a life but how is this any different from, say, a person devoting their life to a monastery or any other focused endeavor?

I would contend that a life playing games is no more wasted than a life watching (and reviewing films) or spent in prayer. It is a passion, a focus of life for a person and that should be acceptable and accepted.

Yes, I'm trying to justify my life...next game please.
