Thanks Nimbaloo.

I followed your instructions to the keystroke calling the mod TATW. That just led to a 'fatal error' message when I tried to open MWII or the americas campaign I had moved the mod into. Changing TATW to americas in the properties set up did not make any difference - still getting fatal error.

What have I done wrong apart from living up to my name?

I have TWM2 + kingdoms on steam and I followed all the instructions above except I downloaded to 'downloads' because I cannot find where gme is kept (or any other of my steam games.

I went to steam mods bit and copied 3rd age to that and renamed it americas. However, when I tried to launch it said it couldn't find kingdoms.exe.

I would be very grateful if someone could help. I'm am not computer literate and this is the 1st time I've ever tried to install a mod except one available on Steam as even I can manage that!

Thanks in advance especially if someone can explain so even a complete noob can understand :)
