I am having trouble where the game will randomly lock up my whole computer while playing 2.2.

I created a thread to discuss it further as to not clog up the feed while still bringing notice to it here.

Well, these are reality bending artifacts so one would assume that their energy densities far exceeds what the physical laws of nature allow (this one weighing in at like 15-20kg). Furthermore, it does not detonate because of nuclear fission but through what I would think to be something like internal stresses (like in tempered glass) where it pulls on itself with incredible force.

Absorption of radiation compromises its physical integrity so it eventually passes a threshold where there is a catastrophic failure of its crystalline structure at which point it violently shatters with explosive force. Sending out shards like a frag grenade on steroids while emitting a flash of lethal gamma radiation in the process! The shards themselves causing both bleeding and radiation poising in the process as its (supernatural) meta-materialistic properties that allowed it to absorb radiation in the first place is lost thus they briefly glow with that sweet-sweet radiation.

The only way to know that it is compromised is that it stops absorbing radiation and when it starts to actually emit radiation is when you need to get rid of it fast as a single bullet could cause it to blow. On the other hand you could duck-tape it to another artifact and hope you have enough time to run away before it explodes. The radiation output of the accompanying artifact and how compromised the first artifact dictating the fuse length.

I know the chances of anything like this making it into the game is nill but it is still a lot of fun to talk about.

I thought of something totally rad (pun intended)! Whether or not the game engine can support this I want to share it. There are no anti-rad artifacts in order to make the game harder, I understand that, but what if there was one and it weighed more than yo-mama? Furthermore it had a finite lifespan, becoming more and more unstable and likely to explode the more radiation it absorbs. You could then either ditch it (since it has no resale value) or craft an IED (sacrificing a radiation emitting artifact to act as a detonator) that also causes lethal fallout.

Crud, thank you for letting me know though.

Whoops, I guess I used the wrong term. What I meant is the mechanic by which you stop sprinting after being damaged and have to press the sprint button again...

That actually gave me a really good mechanic idea. Being struck by a hard enough force like a boar or a nearby explosion causes you to ragdoll if you do not have enough endurance left. While sprinting and being struck by a hard enough blow like a bullet being stopped by armour or being swiped by a bloodsucker slows you down for a second (but still faster than jogging) and your endurance drains really quickly but if you recover before your endurance runs out you keeps sprinting (or jogging if your endurance is too low).

Or are these still outside of the engines limitations?

Will you ever make stumbling dynamic? I have talked with a few medics and doctors in person (mostly on their coffee runs at Tim Horton's XD) and unless a nerve is severed or a bullet breaks a bone upon striking armour you are going to keep sprinting. Even the latter is not guaranteed. I will not link any videos (for obvious reasons) but there are plenty of examples of people being repeated shot (while still running or dodging) and not reacting, let alone realising it until after the ordeal and only feeling pain hours later. I am not at all suggesting that it be removed, just contextually sensitive.

Like, there will be a time where I will be shot point blank range and loose more than half my health without bleeding. I assume that is a simulation of a bullet being stopped but still breaking ribs and collapsing your diaphragm, a perfect example of something that is very likely to make you stumble.

Or is it simply a limitation of the game engine?

Still stupid excited for 2.2!

Sounds good, I have been playing it for a couple of hours and enjoy the current difficulty level, not as hard as Misery but more difficult than vanilla/complete. The only thing I do not enjoy, and am currently tinkering with, is the current carry weight. To each their own and thank you for this mod.

Hi there, I am currently downloading the mod and it will be a while (slow internet plus servers acting up is not a happy combination) but I am hoping by the slim, slim chance that you see this beforehand if you could answer me this: Does this mod simulate more realistic damage like the Misery mod for COP?

THANKS!
