Yey, we are still here. What else can you expect from this blog? Just random (or perhaps nonsense) talk about old games decades ago. Want to test if you are old skool gamer or modern gamer? Can you beat Contra 3 hard mode without any lose, find a last powerful secret weapon for Ryu in Breath of Fire 2, complete all link in Persona 3 and 4, beat Emilius without any counter from him in Grandia 3, or face Glen Duval in his T1-Brutal Wolf wanzer with only default wanzer? Can you do those challenging stuffs? Ah forget them, I'm just joking fu fu fu.
Ergh, reminds me the battle between Snake and various bosses. Old school boss theme from Metal Gear. Just imagine when you are in a hurry to your office, running, when time for meeting is about to begin. And feel your MGS-ed day all time. XD
Man, the opening song of Grandia 3 is quite lovely too. Grandia 3, by Square-Enix, perhaps is one of many PS2 games which was "overlooked", maybe not too overlooked, though. Loved the aspect of gameplay, characters battle, and in-game cinematics. Too bad the game didn't put Gameplay++ or Newgame++ which would make this game a better RPG. Another thing was linear storyline, but that's fine for me. Overall, it was a good game PS2 game. I beat this game four times already, it was never enough and I planned to beat for the 5th times. Thanks to MIZ, the singer of opening song. Well one word for her, "Amazing".
MIZ In the sky full song (Japanese)
Really fit for the main character of the game, story about a boy who wanted to reach his wildest dream, to fly in sky using his own "wing". Oops spoiler!! By the way, Square-Enix should make a cool animation movie based on this game in my opinion. It is gonna be "Amazing". Amazing? Yes, so Amazingly Amazing!! Now how many times did I put "Amazing" word in this blog? Hahaha
"I am Invincible"
Just another damn-annoying-and-cheap-bastard boss from The King of Fighters 2001: Igniz. Obsessed to become god he used knowledge of mankind like cloning (making a clone of Kyo Kusanagi in King of Fighters 1999 using his puppet), creating modified human (All NESTS members, like K9999, Kula Diamond, etc, via genetic engineering) and more wicked stuff. He enjoyed his time playing with player like whipping your sorry butt, or bursting all screen light pillars right to your face. Oh, how I hated his whipping moveset, does more damage and spammable to death. Well, the theme does fit for badass wicked boss. Nah, beat him without any first character lose in arcade, "The one who defeat an Invincible" title achieved. XD
That concludes few things from old awesome games out there. But anyway if you are (or were) really console freak like me, I'm sure you do something extraordinary and interesting the "common" gamers haven't done. Well thanks for reading, ladies and gentlemen. Have a good day!!
Nice article you had here, sunbae.
( ≥ _ ≤)/ ... ♥
Just random thing I wrote though.
My only and most hated complaint in Contra...Enemies poke you without even putting up an attack of sort then you "Die", the arcade version of Super Contra rectifies this with most grunts jumping at you with knives pointed at the player.
Wasn't it same like other games? I mean charactee in old games tends to die faster (in fascinating way)

Dats da challenge, sir.
Letz just imagine if you play Battlefield multiplayer, enemy just poke you and you die instantly, fu fu fu.
~ Well at least you have a visual cue of what sort of attack they've executed.
I can't imagine if I play counterstrike, playing as CT and few terrorists run toward my position and just "poke" me. More like horror to me ... Noooo!
( # . #)
~ Well terrorists are supposed to be sneaky and attacks out of nowhere..(o w o)
But without "poking" part ...
( # . #)
~ Then they're hackers ! (^ W ^)
*poke Mae*
*no poking area*
*Unintentionally causes a poking war*
