This may marked foot here after ten years in moddb. Many things happened in the past. Good or bad, as life went by.

I joined this site when I was college student, and due to my hobby - hanging around pc cafe - back and forth - captivating about one or two modded games in there. Searching around internet (well internet in my old place is slower as hell haha) about game modification and my search landed in here. First mod that took my interest was mod for Command and Conquer Zero Hour. Download it and tried, and wow. Tried this mod with other pc in PC cafe and asked my buddies to try it via LAN. We had a blast. Awesome. The second one if I recalled is a mod for Red Alert 2. Since then I lurk more and more in here, trying other mod for games like Diablo 2 LoD (Still lurk and trying a lot even today), Unreal Tournament 1999, Warcraft 3 TFT, Max Payne and many more. You should note that all games I played with mods are old games due to low end laptop (dual core processors).

Not only mod section, this mod provided a lot about many things. Community, yes community that made it stand big. I was already interested in 3D modelling and my software was 3DSmax 2009. Learned more and thanks to few 3D modellers here helped me improve more. And also thanks to one guy here (painting artist) I jumped to digital art in 2013, his advices (by using PM) helped me a lot even further. Other part is gaming community, where people share their comments and interest like rating and preview about mentioned games. Last part is random comments of random topics between members haha.

Years passed by, life went by - many people come and go - and so here also, members come and go. Maybe the community is no longer big as it was years ago. I don't know, but what I know is the modding is still kicking till today due to small number of dedicated gamers who love their games. Yeah.

And here 2020, toughest year ... or if I could say HARDEST YEAR ever. Everything in life is hectic, jobless are everywhere. This year gives us all huge impact on everything, everything we have. Job, social life, daily routine, financial status etc. With everything is in hard situation, I should think more to adapt. Losing my old job in marketing division of social company in January 2020 didn't stop my step to move forward. And with slow pace I tried to survive this situation. My current objective is now : "SURVIVE"

Looking back to the past, and then learned from the mistakes we made in the past. Make yourself grow as the life goes on. Everything changes so do you.

No matter what kind of situation, Jennifer Mui is still KICKING ASS

PS : Now I have better next gen spec so I decided to try few games I haven't tried before in these quarantine days.

This thing was so legendary back then XD

Meh so fuken legendary. The Maze screensaver which hypnotized every kid to watch till the end of the maze. Dancing baby wallpaper scared kids. Used to play a few games like Chip's Challenge, Monster Truck Madness, Turok series, Carnivores 2 and Carnivores Ice age, and many other games on my dad Pentium 2 computer. The best parts from it, were Age of Empire 2 ... this game was so owning. The only game that took LOTS hours just to fortify your base, hated monks so much because they were annoying as hell. Blue car cheat was OP.

The second part is ... Command and Conquer Red Alert. Yeah, started my CnC experience from Red Alert. I didn't start the series from the first title (Original Command and Conquer), but that big-ace red soviet tank called Mammoth was one hell the coolest unit I remembered. Creating skirmish map, was also the interesting thing. So much memories, eww I'm feeling old now. ( T o T )

And my last question, do you feel old too now?

Greeting. Gawd morning-afternoon-evening wherever you are. If you could read this article then you are one hell luckyiest of luckiest one. One scientist reported that 1 of 10 lucky person can read this. Blaah, just ignore this nonsense. Gonna try few C&C title with harder difficulty, since I used to play lots in normal diff. I hate that general Alexis Alexander, the cheapest and meanest general who keeps spawning aircraft. Grraaaah ...

Not sure why, gonna check it later. Online, all nowadays games require online connection and biggest population of "nowadays" gamer are android gamer here, as far as I know. And I'm still glad that Contra, Metal Slug, Mario, Chrono Trigger "requires no internet connection" nyahahaha. What I really want to see now is a space brain figurine from Salamander game. Imagine, the space brain with weird eye in front of it, made from plastic XD

Nowadays we got many old movies (Especially the famous ones) get remade. From Godzilla, Robocop, and many other movies. Whoops If I want to see another remake, this movie should have been on the list also imo. XD

Many gamers recognized the title of The King of Fighters game as fighting games. But actually, there were many spin-offs based on KoF, for example: The King of Fighters Online.

Promising 3d open world MMO with legendary KoF fighters around

Kof Online by UnoTechnology

Developed by UnoTechnology in 2003. An online game based on The King of Fighters, with its dozens of colorful characters and deep mythology for a fighting game, sounds great, at least on paper. The game promised to keep an arcade-feel to the combat, while still incorporating all the standard MMO elements like levelups, item management and party functions. The only playable characters during the beta were Kyo, Athena, Leona and Kim Jaehoon, but promo screenshots also showed Iori Yagami and Kula. UnoTechnology went as far as testing their version in an open beta starting April 2003, but it was already shut down in August the same year and then just disappeared.

Sidescrolling genre of the legendary King of Fighters

The game was to be developed as a sidescrolling brawler by a Korean studio called Triple-A, but due to differences between the involved parties, Dragonfly eventually pulled the rug from under their feet and internalized the development, scrapping the existing concept and starting again. The game was still kind of being worked in 2012, but it appeared to be a low priority to Dragonfly, and there have been no big news since the initial screenshots and trailer video from 2009.

KOF Sky Stage is an arcade vertical danmaku shooting game with King of Fighters characters released for arcade in January 2010, and also available for XboxLive. In order to rescue fighters trapped in Orochi's dimensional prison, these heroes have been given the ability to fly through the skies by Chizuru Kagura the Mirror Guardian and use their abilities to shoot down various demons and wraiths.

Looks like Square Enix are trying (or maybe) to develop a new Front Mission game. The game is being developed by Square Enix Japan along with former Armored Core producer Toshifumi Nabeshima.

Nabeshima previously worked with From Software, where he created Chromehounds for Sega and Armored Core V. Seeing what they are really "planning" now it looks worth for Front Mission fans to wait this new title.

"Time for raining down enemies hath come!"

Front Mission is a tactical turn based RPG started in Super Nintendo console, featuring robotic mech called "Wanderung Panzer" or well known as "Wanzer". Come with heavy customization of series of wanzers and weapon types, player are given chance to make and adapt to different enemies type and situations. Since then. the series keep growing and evolving from console to console while maintaining its own tradition: Turn Based Strategy game.

That experience may yet come in handy- while Front Mission started out as a science fiction saga, the newest entries, Front Mission Evolved (released in 2009) look more and more into the kind of mech action that defined Chromehounds and Armored Core, was developed by Double Helix. And the recent title got less praise also because of Armored Core-esque style which made it a different genre from its old tradition what it should be (Turn Based RPG).

"You better put my name on it, Square-Enix" ~ Jared Bogdanov

As of right now, nothing more is known about this title. While it is tempting to think that it may be unveiled at E3, the best bet is probably TGS later this year. Stay tuned for more coverage.
