update: another one - wet textures totally dont work for some reason. enabled dx 11(?) settings set to default maximum except for the vertical sync that i turned off(not needed). wet textures work fine indoors and on any npc and player textures but weapon wetness goes bonkers under global ilumination(outside) in the rain. basically every weapon i had(that is rusted toz sawnoff, walter pistol and lr-300 mr) was glowing mad white to the point of showing colour artefacts. such effect disapeared slightly, or in case of some guns fully, when illuminated by a campfire, for example. then i though, i dont need wet textures if they dont work, so i switched to R2.5 dx9 renderer. then wetness problem disappeared but i realized that night vision is now unusable as everything is blurred across the screen and its impossible almost to recognize any details.
UPDATE: AK-74 aim in aim mode is off alignment, as it aims bellow target making aiming a guessing game(you practically dont see the target youre intended to shot at due to this error).

just so you know there is some bug with mask overlay of sphere-08 helmet. it shows purple border and otherwise black screen. can be bypassed by disabling overlay altogether. another bug i found is a minor one - in garage the map that you can use in pda is actually off alignment to the left side - can be easily checked by placing a waypoint/point of interest on the map and as it will appear way to the right side of the actual point you have your mouse pointer at. another one might not be a bug but its worth noting that at diyatki (or whatever the staring map is called i used the cartographer map and military map and left that zone without any quests completed through the swamp and now even after emission, the passages to different zones do not change or disappear as they probably should. Anyway thanks for this mod, its harsh, but rewarding at the same time and the experience of it is unique enough to stay on my Hdd for a long time.

maybe you have some mod conflicts as shotting critters doesnt do anything for me (nobody turns hostile as it should be). and not even once i was attacked for shoting monolith. you can be attacked only if you shot someone and anyone from same faction OR allied faction to the faction you shot at(!important!) is a witness. i know it sucks because more often than no,t youre the one thats being shot at and suddenly when mercs attack you(if youre not allied/neutral with them) you need to eliminate ecologist that witnessed it (i personally run in that case, they lose aggro after a while, come back and eliminate the problem from sniping range so no one realizes its me)

nah i also use and prefer arrows (memory thing from oldschool games that didnt use wsad xD) all controls are perfectly rebindable to whatever you wish (i personaly use combination of "page control" keys (like "insert" "pg down" etc) together with numerical keys and leave only selected binds like B for bolts and P for pda lol

dont play on DX 10 (R3) and use DX 9 (R2.5). poof crashes gone. and about graphics: still to this day i didnt see a mod for stalker that would have as good graphics as dead air. and no instaling random hi-res texture pack is not making graphics better its just swapping textures.

i dont know if its dead, when the last entry i could find is from 15 march. mod is developed, but for some reason or other, creators no longer want to publish beta build and (from what i gathered) want to add all features they planned before they release. mind you dead air is not a simple mod. it runs on call of chernobyl engine that was modified by the devs of the mod. they added various effects to video renderers(thats why dead air is better looking on R2.5 than other stalker mods looks on R3), changed sound system, coded whole new weapon degradation mechanism. they now added weather system (all seasons), reworked lighting effects(showcased in 1.0 demo clip available on YT), added loot-specific looting animations, different ammo magazines that actually display on weapon models, armor specific ammo pouches (actual additional inventory space coded in), added change in weapon model textures based on condition of weapon itself and last i could find are working grass collision. thats stuff thats already done on the new version of the mod, its not published yet, but work is going on it to add even more stuff.

to get around this just bind keys to weapons, in menu you can do it easily (slot 1, slot 2, handgun, knife and binocs/grenades). the way i gathered either its really bugged or made that way on purpose (to simulate just grabbing "whatever" in stress lol)as what weapon you will switch to, is completely random, like switching from slot 2 to knife by "next weapon" or from slot 1 to pistol slot also by using "next weapon".

there is now no point in playing base anomaly, already released EFP 3.0 has everything from anomaly(based on it) plus ton of addons: gunplay, various tweaks, health system etc. i often find myself going back and forth between dead air(unique pace of gameplay) and EFP(lots of various community mods for anomaly, balanced together).

just make sure you didnt install the game in place that is write protected. cant spawn file "hp_2540p - autosave" relates to the problem that game probably cant create autosave(if your username is hp_2540p then thats probably the case. copy game into different drive than the one your operating system is at. if im wrong, then ignore xD)

giving wounded the medkit raises relation with the wounded person you helped only. dont forget that each npc have individual "affinity" points that are affected by faction points and that decides if npc is friendly towards you or not.

its a little late but you should change your rendering method in graphic settings, from dx 10 to something else (if supported). error you posted refers to dx10 renderer, so better change it, as in some mods dx10 doesnt work well, use dx9 or dx11 instead (IF availble).

Human zombies (those emision turned for example) are supposed to be bullet sponges, only quick way (and cheap too) to take them out is headshots and they can take a few depending on where actually bullet hits (5.45 ak bullet kills them in one headshot). Also in CoM the most important is the type of ammo you shot, gun is mostly secondary factor as damage model is mostly bullet type based. Youre supposed to use certain ammo for certain enemies type, readin descriptions of the ammunition should help you out.

you could always go through whitelisting process in adblock plus IF your ads met the "non-agressive ad" criteria. that would make your site whitelisted by default for those users that don't mind mild advertising (no wild popups and such).

changing hawaii2.tgi IDS to mg_rmc_hawaii2 or deleting the hawaii2.tgi results in entirely different error popup about "unknown IDS pOL_worldmap_mgai for data manager MGAI".

so it doesn't work and there are some major compatibility issues.

the problem might be with uncommon valor having 2 maps called hawaii.tgi with ID mg_rmc_hawaii2 and hawaii2.tgi with id mg_rmc_hawaii. in your mod there are two files: hawaii.tgi and hawaiisouth.tgi. therefore after merging uncommon valor with your mod there are hawaii.tgi, hawaii2.tgi and hawaiisouth.tgi where hawaii and hawaii2 have the same IDS.

i just got the idea that you may want some feedback so there is it: your current version of the mod doesn't work together with uncommon valor beta 2 at all (clean install of the game, copied uncommon valor and then your map layout for uncommon valor overwriting all conflicts; in the end- using win xp to make sure although in win 7 there were the same results). during load process of the game there goes some popup about duplicated ID of Hawaii map. for the record on vanilla game it seems to work fine and dandy. Nice work by the way, your mod breathes some life into that old game ;]

(I've found an error that causes game to crash with "general exception error" when you try to run over stationary Browning M1917A1. To fix this you need to replace entity browning_stan_v.def and its assets with properly working model.)
