Underhell

Mod review may contain spoilers

Wow, this mod is possibly one of the best mods I've played in years.
Okay, scratch that. Best mod EVER. I haven't seen a mod this well made ever. Alright, let's get to the review. I'm going to split it into 5 fields for the review.

Characters: The characters were very interesting to interact to. Watching the backstories of your fellow survivors, which are security guards in the complex, slowly be revealed. Some of the characters I hated having them die. Such as Ben, and Alex (Junior). It kind of sucked that only two survivors made it through Chapter 1. Bryan and Jake. (Jake being the protagonist.)
5/5

Story: The story was very immersive, learning about the protagonist's past and the other survivors. The story is that Jake Hawkfield, a SWAT officer who is stricken with grief after the death of his wife, who was found dead in the bathroom. The cause of death determined to be a suicide. A long amount of time after this, Jake is sent to deal with a hostage situation in a hospital, after dealing with the situation. After being gassed by a gas that made him go temporarily insane, he is sent to a top secret prison complex for mass murder. After a few days in this prison, obvious signs of a viral infection pop up. Until Jake wakes up to find the prison empty. Finding survivors, who are security guards along his journey to escape the complex. And the ending of Chapter 1 was a massive mindfuck.
5/5 (Why can't I rate this 6/5? WHY!?)

Gameplay:
The gameplay was fun, having stealth, stamina, anything you'd want a Half-Life 2 mod to have! I'd go more into it, but I'm running out of space.

Weaponry/Combat: The weaponry system was fun and realistic. Especially the free-aim system. It made things confusing sometimes, but that can be fixed just by ironsighting.
4/5

Overall Rating: 5/5!

And that's all I have to say for this review, bye!

No More Room in Hell

Mod review

One of the best mods I have played in years.
It's one of the most realistic mods I have ever played.
It's hard, which I've always wanted. Because most HL2 mods are too easy.
The environments were very immersive, the voice acting was spot-on.
And the zombies were quite scary.
This was, is, and will be, my favorite mod for HL2.

Black Mesa: Uplink

Mod review

This was a very high-quality mod for.. a mod.
It is a lot like the original HL: Uplink, but better.
It was worth the 3+ month wait!

Half-Life 2

Game review

Half-Life 2 has been one of my favorite games for a long time, for many reasons. One of them is that the modding capabilities are endless, and the engine is VERY flexible. Another reason I like the Half-Life games are the different and unique environments, they were very realistic. Even the environments that weren't real, like the Citadel. Ravenholm was genuinely scary, it was one of the few game environments that actually creeped me out like Ravenholm did. It really was quite a step from Half-Life 1, Because in the first HL it was just a large scientific research complex. In Half-Life 2, you went to many locations. Ravenholm, City 17, many other places. Including the 8000+ foot tall "Citadel", the command "center" for the Combine race. Half-Life has been my favorite game for a while, and it will be for a long time until another game better comes around... which will never happen.
