yes
BF2 is using a heavily updated engine on DirectX9. So i don't think the same settings would work. My only tip is to try all options one by one.
Even for BF1942 forced AO only works, because i use dgVoodoo which is a DX11 wrapper. Maybe you could use it for BF2 too
The mod is still under development, so future updates are coming, but i'm not sure when. I will try to upload new screenshots too soon.
I had to separate things here, because moddb has a file size limit. Nexusmods made me able to upload it easier. And that version is actually a bit more fresh, but the difference is minimal
You will see some graphics changes for other mods, if you install my mod.
All or at least the base mod. As this one will only update the expansion packs of the game.
In case you don't read description:
This will overwrite original files in a way, that some multiplayer servers might not let you in. So make a backup.
Sorry, vehicles are not done yet along with infantry stuff. I know that it was requested for a long time now.
I'm glad you like it. Thanks for the comments
It shouldn't limit to 60Hz, but i will check it again. DXVK isn't working, because the mod already contains dgVoodoo. You can try to delete d3d8.dll to delete dgVoodoo and use DXVK instead.
But my Reshade preset is hooking to DX11, so it won't work, it needs to be reinstalled for Vulkan or whatever DXVK is used for
Damn. Thanks for the info, i will check it.
Yes, it will work if you intall ReShade yourself. But my mod contains a custom LUT.png in that folder that is used.
Thanks for the nice comment
I used "simple" server for testing the mod. Turns out, it has no content checking. So i need to fix this sorry. I will release new version in christmas.
Sorry, but i actually have no answer. I had this sometimes... but only with previous versions. I thought it's only the game not handling the much larger textures well.
Once it started working good and i didn't realize if i did something or not.
I don't know the explanations. I don't have a strong PC, so it's not a PC issue for sure.
When you load a custom mod, the game reloads and it can cause issues. The problem is dgVoodoo which is needed for Reshade.
If you delete d3d8.dll from the game folder then dgVoodoo and ReShade won't load. It will not look as good, but the game should work without issues.
The previous was big, because i uploaded wrong files in it.
If you check version 0.9 it was only 2.79gb, so it's actually bigger than the previous release.
Reupload like the third time, because it always had issues. Sorry for the inconvenience
I will check it, but i need to redownload my mod to see what is missing.
If you downloaded this pack few days earlier. This has a slight fix in it. Please download it, ty.
Thanks for the tip, the author is actually "Henk". I asked about it and i can include it in my mod.
One day... if not me, then someone else.
Comparison with 0.9 release+other updates since that.
Try to delete d3d8.dll. It will disable dgvoodoo and reshade, but might help.
You don't need everything. Depends on what you want to try.
Graphics Pack 0.9
- this will update original files for better textures, etc. So multiplayer will look better too on original servers. This is a must.
Graphics Pack 0.9 - additional mod
- this doesn't update original files. It works like any other mod for BF1942. It will add a new mod to "Custom game" menu. Why needed? If you want to try the original maps with additional objects on each map, higher view distance, etc. If you don't want this, then don't install.
Graphics Pack 0.8 - Expansion Pack update
- this will update the original expansion pack maps with some new textures. And also add the updated expansion in custom game menu, for increased view distance, etc. If you are not interested in expansion pack, then you don't need to install this.
Yes. Every file is separate, so it doesn't affect it. I just didn't update anything on it, so it's kept at 0.8.
