Never played it. As a matter of fact, I'd never heard of it until after I'd thought up the name, decided I liked it, then googled to see what else was out there. There didn't seem to be any contention, since the two have nothing in common (besides the name), so I kept the name.

I don't quite understand the GI Joe and Seige Mod BF1942 links. What are they supposed to target?

This looks like a lot of fun. Have you got any beta release dates in mind?

Well, I don't know whether Pseudofear was being prophetic or just cursed me, but creating this mod for BF1942 is now in serious question. As of this point, I cannot figure a way to accomplish my vision for the mod using the refractor2 engine. I'm still looking to see if it will be possible, but I'm also looking into other game engines as well.

Oh, regarding the Utahraptor looking like a Deinonychus, I don't see that being a problem. Both Deinonychus antirrhopus and Utahraptor ostrommaysorum fossils were discovered in North America, while fossils of Velociraptor mongoliensis were discovered in Asia. I'm not an expert on the subject, but it's not a stretch for me to think that the two from NA could have a similar appearance, that being quite different from the Velociraptor. Plus, that was the best Utahraptor picture I could find. Of course, my main concern with the Utahraptor is that it's larger than a Velociraptor and smaller than a T-rex.

While I truly appreciate the high ratings DS has received, since the mod is in such an early state, those ratings represent approval of the idea rather than the mod itself. I will reinstate the ratings at a later time.

I apologize to anyone that has tried to access the Dominantspecies.net link. My ISP is going out of business ;(, and I'm in the process of switching to another. The site will be back up as soon as I get everything straightened out.

Regarding the mod delivery date, it will be quite a while yet. The mod is pre-alpha; I'm working on code and models atm. I'll post pics and status updates when appropriate.
