I have recently began a little modding project which involves improving the BC304 minimod for Sins of a Solar Empire Entrenchment. This is to keep the community happy with a suitable BC304 until Epytron_Omega releases the Stargate Invasion mod. Until then the minimod modifications can be found under addons on this page. The original version I released has one asgard beam fire point, and the BC304 has the normal movement the rest of the ships in the game has; wheras the newer 1.02 has multiple beam weapons and fighter style movement, its your choice which you prefer.

hold on, if your not releasing it today but another day, you won't be forfilling the promise you made many of us that it would be a tuesday :)
So really shouldn't you release it next tuesday now :D

Sorry, but the team has only released the pegasus side of the mod first (Wraith, Humans & Asurans). The Diplomacy release is almost identical to the entrenchment release, and was released so that they could identify what they have done so far needs tweaking to work with diplomacy.

Yeah i had that problem fighting the wraith (the other races hadn't yet built a station), only i assumed it was intentional

WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU ON ELITE222?
1. The Asgard are not in this mod yet
2. This mod is a WIP (A WORK IN PROGRESS)
3. The team has been working on this mod for NOTHING
4. The team also happens to be rather small and lacks enough texturers
and last but not least, the manipulation is empty because this build is effectively the same as the entrenchment build. The teams aim is to fix everything to work in Diplomacy thats there at the moment before they go adding more pieces.

Please don't go critising their work unless you really want to do all their work for them

I'd guess that the Asgard would have some kind of drones to act like fighters since the Sins AI needs satisfying

Well it looks like theres an anubis capital ship in the mini mod (can't be certain as i haven't played it yet) and if you want to use it in the Diplomacy release you may have to do some modding of your own

with a recharge time of 15 seconds i'd imagine (for game balancing) that the ability will either be;
-weak (no point in ability in this case since the ship has weapons)
-or uses alot of antimatter, i.e. can use the ability 2 or 3 times straight & then has to wait some time for the next launch.
-unless of course you make it avaliable alot later into the game (either late level or research)

I'm sure theres supposed to be developer versions of the game in the games file directory, but using it will wipe any user data i think

i doubt it will be given a fighter and if it is it won't be very powerful since the destiny is just a colony ship and is intended for non-combat roles

there should be great be letters i reckon at the top of this page quoting "NO ORI EVER!" in big bold letters, since theres always somebody asking the question "Will the Ori be in the mod?" and driving some of us mad

Speaking of missing textures, i'm sure there was a large trinium asteroid with shields that had a texture until i captured it, at which time it turned completely black. I'm sure there was a texture there before but i could be mistaken, thought i'd better just mention it :) great job so far anyways

Trinity is just a collection of the 3 games, there is nothing different about the game itself, so as long as you put the files in the right part of the game (Original, Entrenchment or Diplomacy) it should work fine

The problem with that is the developers for this mod will have to spend extra time writing the mod for each and every patch that has been released, and the main difficulty will be that they cannot install different patchs, only the latest one.

If you want to play the mod with a copy that you got off the internet, it would be best to download the mod and modify it to work with your current version, since i doubt JT is willing to rewrite the mod for people who won't buy a legit copy of the game

I used to have only 2 gigs of Ram on my laptop and the game ran perfectly fine for me. Recently i replaced one of the RAM cards with a better one to give me 3 gigs of RAM though for numerous reasons

if you have activated the mod ingame then the main menu should have a stargate and a DHD on it, and the backgroud music will be quite familiar

Yes, i have already created a few ships of my own using sketchup for the game. All you have to do once you have made the ship is download XSI Modtool and copy the ship across.
From there you follow a tutorial (if needed) to texture the ship and get it ready for Sins

The reason that has been stated by the team on so many occasions for not using the Ori is because of their lack of ships (with there being only 1) and the fact that their only ship looks like a toilet seat :)

Sorry i'm not on the mod team, and i don't really have a great deal of time to spend on it anyway. I'm more than happy to help with the mod wherever i can however, but all i am capable of modding in Sins at the moment is;
- Modelling, Coding and creating weapons effects. I am incapable of texturing, and a texture artist is likely what the team is after at the moment
