Would halflife be popular without Freeman? Would Mario Brothers be popular without Mario? Zelda? Metroid? If you take away the theme of a game, you very often have something that, although fun, would not be widely popular. Of course the mod is popular due to Slenderman. That's the point of the mod. It's a game about the Slenderman.

He is talking about the mythology behind the Slenderman. Here is a nice "re-designed" picture of what many claim to be one of the original "writings/drawings" of the Slenderman. This was "rumored" to be an old wood cutting.

We'd be proud if seeing him would be considered historical. Perhaps we can start seeing him in the history books. Jokes aside, it's a work in progress. In fact, everything you see is a work in progress. This means it's not complete and that it is still being worked on. Even if it wasn't, take a look at other Slenderman mythos games. The model in itself is always silly when considering it outside of the environment.

This is not officially in, but it is being discussed on the color of the tie changing on how aggressive he currently is. It may or may not make release. There's a few factors we have to consider internally and on how plausible it is.

He's out of environment and no effects are activated. He'll naturally be well defined in that format.

You guys should be impressed with the progress on this map that we're releasing tonight or tomorrow. Also, this is all a work in progress. You guys must realize that this is nowhere the finished product. If you cannot understand that, it may be better if we withhold all sneak peaks such as this and just wait for release.

We're planning on having a beta out near the end of the year.

We have this idea on the table, but we're not sure yet if we will be implementing it. If you'd like to provide such a suggestion, feel free to post on our forums under the suggestion section.

Keep in mind that players will have a light source to help. :)

This will be coop. We're shooting for 4 players.

We're planning on having the main theme enhanced by next week. Hopefully the next version will be ready for the next update! :)

Also, the name is RpTheHotrod...as opposed to RPTheHotRod which some people might misplace the meaning to someone less...appropriate. Car, people, I swear...I was nicknamed after the car! :)
