Well, Atm i plan Lothar being the Warcraft 1 tech-tree human hero, leading his remaining troops from the first war. Lore wise Lothar was the person who led the exodus from Stormwind to Lordaeron and the main human hero of the first war.
If we go with Garithos indeed you can have only human units, maybe some kind of irregular army would fit for him.
Sure, we can include other heroes than the standard Warcraft 2 ones if we can find a fitting tech tree and gameplay style for them and they are part of the second war era. But the iconic ones get the main attention first.
You can play with the multiplayer maps already on sc2 Arcade :) For the campaign you have to wait for a bit.

-Paladins aren't stopping attack anymore as far as i know
-Moved the top gold mine closer to the rocks, so now you can target it with blizzard if you are positioning it good
-Cannon Towers can not attack enemies standing too close to them, just like Catapults
-Dark Peninsula is a remake of an original Warcraft 2 map so i don't want to change it. The one position without island has its third mine behind trees. Warcraft 2 maps were mostly asymmetrical.

I released a new patch which fixed most of the issues you mentioned.
yeah we know how the wc2 Great Hall looks but we need an artist to do it. Until that our Wc1 Great Hall is an excelent placeholder.

Thank you for trying out our mod and the compliments :). I will look into the things you mentioned. However I can answer to these points already:
- Farm gives 4 food in the classic mode, in the modern gameplay mode we added extra food to the farms.
-submarines/turtles are invisible already, only detectors can see enemy ones.
-You could cast on enemy and friendly units some spells like slow in the original game but i found it problematic so changed it.
-"sometimes the basic menu of peasants dont appear" If you encounter with this you probably enabled simple command card (or the game reset your option about it). Turn off simple command card in the menu.
Its been already up and playable for a year now.Did you search for Coa or wc1 or wc2 on the European sc2 arcade server?
only multiplayer is available at the moment.
You need to get Starcraft 2. Either buy the game or download the free starter edition. Then choose Europe as your server in the battle.net launcher and launch the game. Choose Arcade in the menu and search for Coa. It will list all of our multiplayer maps.
Multiplayer is already playable on the European server of Starcraft 2 Arcade. Search for Coa in the arcade maps for the current version. There is still lot to do but we are constantly release updates.
These are two years old pictures. The current version on EU server doesn't look like this at all.
Why would a multiplayer map pointless without ai? You supposed to be playing with friends or other real player foes. Anyway we plan to implement one but it isn't easy to do.

For the remakes the ones originally appeared in the games as you will play the same missions. Thou I may include bonus levels.
In a previous article you mentioned the plan to release publicly the resource mod files of WAA with the alpha. When will you plan to do this, or if its already done what is the name of it?
It has less races because its alpha, their full release will have the remaining two races. It also plays just like WC3 but looks much better with HD models.
At the moment i focus on wc1 and wc2. Although i already worked on Wc3 stuff too, Armies of Azeroth exclusively focus on Wc3, and they have 12+ team member, so i'd rather expect them to finish it.
Well if its fit for the style and i have permission to use, yes. For example i plan to use some of the models from Armies of Azeroth until i can get someone make the models of wc1 and 2
