Description

While cleaning my mothers Almira today, I found some pretty interesting and downright historic items. Here are a few.

The camera on the left is a Olympus TRIP AF an auto-focus model in the TRIP Series made in 1984. Its a simple two-level AF system had focal points at 1.5 and 4 meters. The price was ¥34,300 (including the case). I'm no stranger to this one. I myself took a lot of photos with it.

The one on the right is something I didn't exactly knew a lot about. It is a Kodak KB10 made in 1997. It is a simple point-and-shoot camera. It has a 2-element aspherical 30mm f/8.0 fix-focus lens, an optical viewfinder and a built-in flash. It looks like a modern compact camera but is actually a primitive viewfinder camera, with no focusing and a flash that could not be switched off. My father/mother bought it for my sisters so they can take their own picture without putting too much stress on the old Olympus. I just learned about it today when one of my sister pulled it out of my mothers Almira. It is completely equipped for shooting, there is a film reel on the back and two (By now completely dead) Sunlight AA batteries on the camera slot.

I might patch it up toy with it for a while, provided there are still film studious that develops the good old Kodak film reel....
