Nope. The original Panzerturm were the reinforced MG emplacement used in the Siegfried Line. Built in 1938. ( Upload.wikimedia.org )
The one you're speaking about are akin to Pantherturm I (Stahluntersatz) which were Panther turrets mounted on a welded steel base in which the ammunition was stored. This base was in turn bolted on to the top of a steel box which housed the crew living quarters, stove and electric generator equipment. Although some normal Pz.Kpfw.Panther turrets had been used for these fixed fortifications on the Hitler Line south of Cassino, the majority, such as this one on the Gothic Line, were specially designed and produced for this purpose. The roof armour was increased to 40mm to withstand direct hits from 150mm artillery shells, and the cupola was replaced by a flat hatch with a rotating periscope.

Agreed. They should be called Panzerturm.
You forget the PaK-40 that they used to guard the Maus during field maintenance.
The Lore doesn't really make sense. One thing German military are/were extremely proud about is their field artillery's. Hitler himself had a knack for giant guns, hence the reson giants like the Dora and Gustav was built. He would never allow this to happen.
Imported it without any problem, was going to UV map it but as soon as I went into edit mode, Fuuuuu.....
Niiiice, this one looks really good.
That being said, why there isn't any Nebelwerfer or sFH 18 systems?
Nice. Must say though those massive bolts don't really fit with the rest of the body.
Also, there's a mini kitchen yet no **** bucket?
Question: Why are those HMG gunners shooting bullets out of their ***?
That depends on the planet itself. As in how resource rich it is, how populas it is and how canonically important it is.
Industrial Slipway Fordo not Industrial Slipyard.
Anyway, please note each faction might eventually get their own versions of each production facility's .
Yeah the Lorraine 40T.
AMX-50 100mm gun protector.
We're experimenting with cover mechanics and garrisonable buildings along with mixed infantry weapons on one squad (Ie: Basic infantry squads will have 5 troops of with two will have heavy blasters, three will have light blasters while the remaining one will have a rocked launcher). Basic infantry will probably get a grenade/ detonator attack ability too, which will do heavy damage to other infantry groups while do moderate damage to enemy armor.
Better question is, why not?
After all, all original trilogy handguns were pimped up WWII weapons.
2. That would make them useless in planets with EM storms....
Like it isn't obvious enough.
All three units are based off soviet units used during the second world war.
On that note, this unit will probably go though a MAJOR redesign.
I'll probably relocate gun on a fixed casemate as part of the main hull.
In case anyone wondering, yes the Imperial Military is going to be quite different form that of the canon. In canon, the Imperial Military's job was primarily occupation hence they used intimidating but ineffective terror weapon like the AT-ST, better known as the Chicken walker. With often fending off attacks form largely unequipped Rebel forces. In this AU however, the Empire is at full scale war with two faction that are almost as powerful as them so instead of focusing on impractical terror weapons, Empire has adopted the philosophy they chosen for their TIE fighters. Cheap, effective, simple, reliable and expendable units that can be made in large numbers and can be used to overwhelm the enemy's of the Empire.
IDK, Putin seems to be pulling it off pretty smoothly.
Nope. Die fits just fine.

"War is timeless, so are we."
The muzzle diameter might be enlarged though.
I LOL'ed at this harder than I should have.
If Putin Invades EUrope, It's going to be the same thing. People would welcome him as their liberators form the Froth Riech and VDV's are going have the chance of hanging out with even more babes :P
LOL yeah, spending 4 hour a week to make them.
Thanks for complement.
I will never understand people fascination with the original scorpion. Always hated that pile of scarp.
Damm. Those are some mighty fine legs. (In my eyes anyway)
Oh come on! I loved the New Scorpion! Just give this thing to a cretin Genarel, keep the Centurion in game!
