Just as a note the tutorial needs updating. It's telling me to press f2 and click on the 'top middle' button in order to access production. I found it on the left hand side of the screen. =\

Hrm, in that case I may have to sort through my supcom folders... It's a bit messy. Got 11 mods atm, the crashes started occurring when I updated this mod and blackops unleashed. Fresh start may help lol

Have you modified the UEF 'Triage' T2 Point Defense in any way? I downloaded this mod and the blackops [unleashed] mod and I keep getting a crash whenever I issue an a build order for one =S
Warp gates? You mean Jump gates? If the ships are to appear inside them like Mr.Thi wants then the jump gates are too small. Please clarify if you mean something else.
I agree with Cingularity. You don't need to have every ship undock from a station OR warp in. Having the capital class ships made 'off-map' to be warped in (like the shipyard in HW2)and the smaller ships made in stations would be an appropriate compromise. What the requirements are for beacons or being able to warp them in though is something I myself am not sure of as technology seems to be construction based as opposed to research based.
What options will there be for customisation? Visually there's nothing besides the overlay/interface to determine your ships from others'. Perhaps you could have engine exhaust colours based on player choice before a game?
Remember in the EVE online universe ships are ejected out the bottom of some stations. It's a 3D universe after all!

Woah! Let's not forget an important little aspect in games called balancing! If you added a rapid ROF and AA on the thing then that would become 'OP' or 'IMBA' and become the only defence people would build. The whole point is to build different types of turrets to support each other! Otherwise this game would just become boring -_-
I'm not sure all the units have upgrades to be applied with veterancy yet. Be patient and i'm sure they'll be implemented soon.
