Ok, stupid question but it's bugging the heck out of me. How in Nexus Skirmisher (or editor) can you make it so that a ship's shields are at full at the start of a mission. I know I should be able to figure this one out, but it has been bugging me for the past few hours. I really want to see the Ori ships at their full potential, but right now they seem like target practice because it takes 20min before their shields come online.

Is there a good mission editor out there I can use to build my own missions? I would like to try a little more detailed scenario than Nexus Skirmisher offers.

#4- Balancing: First off, prequel mission 4 is impossibly hard from what I've seen. Secondly, I find the ship battles are far too short. I realize SG1 & Atlantis battles are quite quick but in the game they seem way to fast. Now granted I dont think they should be slowed to standard Nexus speed which is incredibly slow (wailing on an opponent for minutes before the shield drop) but a step up in the shields/hull strength should change that.
Before you guys think I'm jumping all over this or bashing it, I must tell you this is great. If you have Nexus you MUST have this mod. By far some of the best models and editing I have seen ever. I only am trying to put forth some constructive criticism so that the final product is finished to the point that everyone will enjoy it for hours on end. To the Mod Team, EXCELLENT work so far! You've made my fantasy of playing a Stargate battle a reality. To players, if you have Nexus, download this! If you like Stargate, download this! If you want to see what a real mod should be made of (and this is only Beta!), DOWNLOAD THIS!!

Great update! It still leaves me wanting more! I can't wait to fool around with the Ori Warships when they are released. Some constructive comments if you guys don't mind. #1 I noticed that there are some points where my ships respond to me in Russian (Or Czech). Not sure if this is In-game audio that was in advertantly put in place of the English audio or if it was intended. I see many of the Mod Team are part of the Czech republic or Hungary, if this is intended I understand. #2 Some of the "Super-ships" like Apophis' Flagship seem underpowered. Atlantis for instance has no sheilds that I could find; however, in the show Atlantis' sheilds are the heart of it's defense. I do like Anubis' flagship though, it has ample firepower and it's explosion is amazing... I've had to pull back my ships many time just to avoid the blast radius. #3 Technical Issues: I've run into some issues technically in game play. First off, I've had major issues with the "manual control" interface. First, I've activated sheilds and as soon as I give the ship another command it's turned them off. Second and more annoying, In one mission I have to remain stealth. As soon as I click on a new target to fly to, my stealth deactivates, failing the mission. <Continued>

Best Stargate or Nexus mod EVER! Just curious how many ships will total final release? Wondering if any more obscure ships will make it into it like "The Daniel Jackson", the Asgard Research Vessel, or The Ancient Weapon Satellite used to defend atlantis or that weird random ship type the "Travellers" use. Also, does anyone know of any detailed mission creation programs out there? I've just been using Nexus Skirmisher but I'm wishing for a program like FRED for Freespace. A little more intuitive with IF/THEN type factors. Could make some cool missions with something like that. Great job though guys!
P.S.- I see v0.67 is shown on Moddb's site, but it has "no mirrors" to download from... how long until it's up on their servers?
