I found a better solution. If you download the game manually on the right hand side, rc2.5, it has the exe. The game that you download in the desura client is a really old version.

I think you can do this by adding the java.exe binary and then modifying the launch to use the same parameters that are in the batch file. I got it working by changing the start in to the project zomboid folder and then having the target be: "C:\Program Files (x86)\Java\jre6\bin\java.exe" -Djava.library.path=./ -Dsun.java2d.noddraw=true -Dsun.awt.noerasebackground=true -Dsun.java2d.d3d=false -Dsun.java2d.opengl=false -Dsun.java2d.pmoffscreen=false -cp lwjgl.jar;./ zombie.FrameLoader
I seem to have an issue with getting the overlay to close once it's launched. Probably needs some tweaking.
It seems that a new version 16.1 has come out so maybe that is why there are problems now. There might be a naming convention issue as well because v16 downloads as v16.1 and now there is a real v16.1. Hopefully this is just bad timing but I can't help but react with "Burn it with fire!".
I was about to flip my **** when I got home and saw that you said this. I started the download this morning and thought that you might be right and I downloaded the wrong platform. I see what you are saying about there only being debian, redhat and mac now. Thankfully, there really was a windows link earlier and that's the one I downloaded. What a bunch of ******** though. This is my first and last time purchasing anything from desura.
I had the same issue as you guys. Just download it manually from this page on the right hand side under purchased downloads.
