Its a ruiner remix from the nin remix site. Not sure which one at the moment as its been years since this was done.
use the shortcuts provided and check the included read me files for launching, and installing the mod. Many problems will occur if you use the mod menu instead of a shortcut to launch the mod, like many other d3 mods.
Just double checked this. You can find the running zombies in my weapons pack. These are compatable with the default zombies and D3. Should be easy to extract and use the contents.

your welcome to use them. Browse through the pak files to find the def files and new animations for the zombies. the defs are set to randomly pick out one of their run or walk animations constantly. It has been awhile, but I am sure the animations do work with vanilla zombies type. They compatable with the zombie types which share bodies and heads.

The game would be stand alone and not require Doom3. Additionally it would be released for free or extremely cheap, as in $1.

never found out why this happens on some people's machines. Make sure you are starting Ruiner through a shortcut and not from doom3 itself.
Development ended quite some time ago. The team disbanded from various reasons. Source release is still planned.
There are also no first peron models or animations for the weapons. It was extra work we didn't have the man power for and the goal was always a pure thirdperson experience. they were also removed to help quite a bit with memory.
the texture res is default D3. A majority of the textures were based off of them. The idea was to try and keep it all consistant with stock d3 assets. All the new stuff should blend in with the originals.
If you check the decals, or it might be called decorations sub folder, there is a nice tiling chain texture in there.
Try disabling the Catalyst AI in the catalyst control panel if your using an ATI card.

Its a strange problem we didn't have any time during development of the mod. The cvar pm_thirdperson 1 is set in the code by default. It looks like we will need to hard code further beyond just a cvar.

You can pick up a dropped sword... its just a bit tricky compared to the other weapons. The ! icon will appear on the screen when you can pick it up. Next time around I'll look into making the collision box bigger for the dropped sword.
try tinkering around with the console settings for the hdr. it is r_hdr_* If entering lighted areas is too blinded, then this might have to shift sensitivity... when your in dark areas; the lighted areas look much brighter untill you stand inside of them and then they adjust.
I personally can not check into this problem because I don't have a widescreen moniter. If someone has one and is able to get it work with no problems, please let us know.
Are you running The mod through either a shortcut or the bat file provided in the download? Is your doom3 base directory clean? In otherwords, there are no autoexe files or any additional mods installed in it?
bo shurikens are the ammo used for Onslaught (shotgun) and advocate (auto crossbow).
1. What type of ATI card are you using?
2. The malwraith is suppose to to do the flips.
3. Are you talking about when you pick up bo shurikens ammo pick hud notification?

I posted a comment below which contains the info on the short delay. We had a last minute game crashing bug with ATI cards. The problem has now been fixed and we are packaging things up for the release. It is possible the mod could be done before the 18th date listed.
The beta contain all the features shown in the footage and images. It also contains some additional content which was finished afterwards.
Sorry to report folks, but we have been hit with last minute game breaking bug. We are still investigating the issue and want to make sure this is fixed before release. Everything else is done and ready to roll. It first appeared about a week ago out of no wheres. What we thought would be a quick fix has turned into more. If it was something minor, we would have released today and followed with a patch soon afterwards. Once again sorry about the delay.
It will be released by the end of this year in one form or another.

We will be uploading the videos to download soon, but their not much higher in res than these. This was the main reason we never released them ontime. The project files have been lost for quite some time, so everything would need to be redone in order to get them in higher quality.

If your having trouble using the mouse, you can do a couple things. If its too slow, increase the speed in the options. Or try turning mouse aiming off. Once it is off, its classic contra aiming style. This works well with a controller, or just the keyboard. Also remember, that damage is not location based, so shooting an enemy in the head or legs does the same amount. It takes a little bit to get used to turning the mouse aiming off, but once you do, its a much faster way to aim.
