Ruiner is a dark, nightmarish, third person action modification for Doom3. The player assumes the role of a herald of Death & fights hordes of the damned using unique weapons, abilities and spells.

In June we posted on our main site that a new trailer for the mod would be coming this summer. There is still a strong chance this will happen. This time around the trailer will focus on the game play alone and help introduce everyone to the narrative of the mod. It is just taking a little longer than expected to get it done.
Development wise, things have been quiet. We have yet to find the help needed to finish the player animations and levels for the mod. These are the only 2 large task left. As mentioned before, this is stalling development. Currently most of the team is side tracked with real life with small chances of hope they can do some work before the year's end. But this won't be enough for us to get this mod finished before the years end. If player animations are at least finished, then some sort of release would be guaranteed.
We will keep everyone posted on our development.

dude omg, awesome, just saw the trailer and i have to say, n1.
however for no reason what so ever, i just got a feeling of an FPS version of diablo, right here. LOL
The setting might be similar to Diablo, but the game plays more like a faster paced Resident Evil 5.
Ill install doom again for this mod, looks better than doom3
WOw Very unique Models
This is so great! While you keeping the original feel of the Doom III, you also bring it to another level, and that is awesomness :P Looking forward to see this game as a standalone. I can't wait for ID software to release the source of the ID Tech 4 engine, because I want to use it as an engine for my game idea.
We do have plans for the mod once the source code is released ;)
