Great work as always! I still hold out hope that you'll be able to figure out some way to keep vultures from feeding off your talent.

I do believe that means that instead of the default entity that points to objectives in-game you can replace it with your own if you so choose. However, I'm not qualified to ensure you of the validity of that.
I was confused at first too. View original for the big version. The regular viewer blends the rest of the ocean into the purple-y nebulae below it. The rest of the planet is clearly there in the original picture.
I think it would make sense for the Borg to be one of the Galactic Crisis things, or whatever the AI, Tyranid like things, and Inter-Dimensional Demons are known as.
To answer your side-panel question... If you were actually aware of the fact that you became a servitor then that would probably be the worse thing that could happen to you. However since you pretty much get lobotomized then I'd say that's about equal to death, depending on the particulars of death in the 40k universe. Possession by demons probably isn't really all that bad since most demons tend to keep the host's consciousness active and with the demon imprinting itself on your consciousness you'd probably end up enjoying what the demon was doing through you. I'd say the actual worse thing that could probably happen to a human is living on an unimportant hive world working as basically slave labor that has to go through an entire life of meaningless toil just to end up getting wounded in an accident (instead of killed) and then spending another few life times either as a mindless servitor or having to make do continuing your usual job but this time missing a leg or an arm.
Heck yes! Arvus Lighters are (for whatever reason) my favorite 40k air unit. I just like the idea of my HQ's getting ferried around in little personal craft.
Awesome to see it from the Necron perspective. Couple of questions:
Are Arma 2 muzzleflashes in first person different then the 2nd/3rd person muzzle flashes? I know some games use completely different resources depending on whether you're looking in first person or viewing someone else doing something. If so, I think the muzzle flash for the Necrons in first person in this video is good to go. However, I think it would be both fluffy and good gameplay wise if the Gauss Flayers had brighter than usual muzzle flashes for the people being shot at.
Also, do y'all have a plan yet as to how you're going to decide which subfaction gets to represent each army? I saw those Ghosts for the IG (which I'm super excited about) and the general Cadian theme for the rest of the IG (vehicles, etc.) and the various Eldar Craftworld Guardians, but how are you going to decide the other armies?
The noise that those SPG's make when firing (that electrical hiss noise when they're outbound) sounds like it would be a perfect noise for the Necron's Gauss weapons. When the video first started and those SPG's started firing off I thought it was actually the Necrons shooting. Just a thought.
Edit: Also, super awesome video. Thanks for keeping us updated. I can't wait until this is released and I'm so happy that you're sticking to the fluff. If only GW could manage to do the same...
There's nothing keeping you from doing whatever you want with your models. If the people you play with don't like it, find new people to play with.
The chapter that steals everything is upset because something was stolen from them?
This is a good angle. You can see right up her aft hole.
Been waiting on this mod for years and unlike these other jerk-faces I will continue to wait on it. Everything that this team has been doing is beautiful. I still can't believe some of the images that have been uploaded. I look at them and think "Freelancer? Nah, can't be." The team's skill in manhandling code and engine alike should take you all pretty far if you decide to stay in such a field. We're getting closer and closer and I can't wait to meet the lot of you in game while we forge ahead and make our own stories in the Star Wars Universe.
Good luck!
"Have you heard the word of the Emprah today?"
Not only that, but the second pair of sunglasses he is putting on are upside down.
This is the first Salamanders related picture I've seen posted on here... it's about freakin' time!
I liked the addition of the river and ocean out front. I can't wait until the rest of the town is put it.
