ODB is not the first I've heard lamenting how unrealistic mechs looked back in the Harmony Gold days. That being said, I loved them, for purely aesthetic reasons. NO battlemech is truly realistic from a physics/scientific standpoint. That's why it's a sci-fi game. :)
Although I certainly understand some folks' desire to see clan-type, non-anthro mechs, I always favor the truly memorable ones like the Crusader, Marauder, Ostroc, Locust, Phoenix Hawk etc. It's just personal taste really. There are a few newer models that remind me of those designs, especially some of the Comstar mechs like the Lancelot, Black Knight, and Highlander. MWLL looks to have a nice mix of both tho.

If you check out the official site forum Mechlivinglegends.net, it seems that MWLL will have some pretty serious league support behind it. Which means yes, I will be joining my beloved House Kurita and placing the DC flag on Terra for all eternity. :D. Let the games begin!

Seriously, not since MW4 Mercs and MC2 have I been able to play a good Battletech game on my PC and it's been driving me nuts. What I've seen so far of MW:LL is enough to bring a tear to my eye. I'm pretty sure that Smith and Tinker are going to be years away from producing anything tangible (if ever) and I wasn't finding much else until I stumbled across this one. I a very happy duck now.

I have to iron and starch my DC uniform again. Hail Kurita!
