- Star Trek! :D
- Playable factions
- Research trees are unique to every faction and reflect faction's attributes from ST universe
- Models of space stations, starbases and ships are superb, Trekkies will love it
- 4X gameplay
- Level of detail is very satisfying, for example Nausicaan pirates
- Very well polished, glitches and bugs are almost non-existant
- Battles are beautiful, ship's weapons and shields performance will are worth taking a screenshot every few seconds
- Voices and sounds are excellent
- Visuals of destroyed ship's debris are fascinating, especially for the Federation #Wolf359
- Unique ship abilites
- Star Trek shuttles and fighters
- Number of available ships and their diversity is excellent
- Amount of content is way beyond expectations for a single mod and there is even more to be implemented in future updates
- Star Trek inspired player insignias

- Sins of Solar Empire prevents any scripted missions, campaigns or scenarios which is a heart breaking minus for a Star Trek
- Neutral planets and fleets are copied from vanilla game
- Weapons fire is beautiful but ship manouvers and collision are ugly and VERY DIFFERENT from battles in Star Trek universe
- There should be some custom fleet formations since this is a Star Trek mod
- Mod could use more economic balance between ships-structures-planet improvement and actual planet income
- Planet bombardment and colonization is not really a Star Trek thing
- Pirate behaviour still not perfect
- Ships are too slow for Star Trek universe, fast ships option is not good enough solution(although it helps)
- Borg faction is more OP than it should be, ship assimilation should be removed
- Titan ships are not balanced properly
- No Star Trek engine trails
- Some of the STA3 custom maps require rather expensive DLCs for Sins of Solar Empire: Rebellion in order to play

Final verdict: Epic mod,a must-play for any Sins player especially for a Star Trek fan!
