As of 1.7 Zone of Alienation remains one of the best SoC mods I have ever played. It just keeps improving on every plane, the armory keeps expanding, the translations get better, the combat becomes more balanced and the crashes are addressed with fixes as soon as possible. Every tiny detail gets touched upon and nothing seems to go untouched that did not need loving fondling from the capable hands of FatalFunnel.

Unfortunately it is marred with the odd crash here and there but submitting bug reports is so easy and with a mod author as amiable as Mr. FF, it's quite gratifying to know that you helped him a decimal percentage point of the way to true perfection.

This mod is not for the faint of heart but then again S.T.A.L.K.E.R. shouldn't be. Keep up the fixes and bug reports, FF, and I will be one happy S.T.A.L.K.E.R.

Ballistic Weapons is a must have. It's a perfect conception of new weapons in Unreal Tournament, changing the gameplay in a subtle way while still giving it an absolute make-over in terms of the arsenal. I rarely play Vanilla UT any more, THAT is how good this is.

This is what it'd be like to live in the zone. Very few STALKER mods come close to the feelings this mod gives me. The new arsenal, new sound design, new textures, everything gels together in a wonderfully fluid and complete way, with stability as an added bonus. I have the utmost respect for the Misery Team and TrueZoneProjects as a whole. Any new TZP mod that comes out will be getting a download from me.
