Did the dev team make the whole project open-source (models, textures, etc.) or just the code? Afterwards could be combined with the open-source Q2/Q3 engine QFusion to produce a complete game. Possibly a free, open-source, and excellent quality FPS.

In any case just flipping through the screenshots is a pleasure. Map/ model/ effects blend together well. Truly cinematic.
