It worked. I'm not sure about the solution. Disabling Closed Optical Sights, Free A-Life and Darker Nights (the other two mods required starting a new game) worked, but I think the problem was not the area, was a Controller monster near, it crashed when his mind control effects started. After killing him, I enabled again those mods and all works fine now.

I'm playing Lost Alpha DC (I like it a lot), but I have a problem with my game. I come to Great Metal Factory and when I get close to a phone booth area, the game hangs and I have to force close the game.
I have tried reducing the graphic quality and Directx version, but it does not solve the problem.

Hi! I just start playing this mod. I get a mission from Sidorovich to kill a random stalker. After I killed it, all the Cordon loners are hostile to me, including Wolf. I have not killed anyone else.
Despite being a Sidorovich mission, is this normal behavior?

Hi! I'm playing the mod, and i think it's really awesome! I love STALKER games and I like to be able to enjoy new good stories.
Now I'm stuck in ..[spoiler!] the part of the Cordon where you have to find a stalker called Raccoon. I have searched in the rookie camp and the other places that I can approach, but I can't find any clue.

Surely this has been already discussed, but I can not find information anywhere. I'm doing the Freedom mission of retrieve a machine for Lukash. He send me to a stalker trader named Alex, back in the Cordon area. He wants some tools and transistors in exchange for a password. I have to search in an old pumpstation, but I have no idea where it is.
Where can I find these items, are them all in the Cordon or I have to find them scattered throughout the game?
I'm really stuck on this mission :(

I had this problem some days ago, and solved using this method. Now I have realized that there are never Blowouts since the first one in my first hour of game. I have played 10+ hours at least.
Anyone know if they should occur randomly or are scheduled throughout the main plot of the game?

I couldn't refuel or open the trunk of the first car. I found a second vehicle and all works fine. I think that's done on purpose.

Hi, Stalkers! How's the hunt going?
I had a little bug on the mission "Free the Dutyer from prison". All bandits are dead and the gate opened but the Dutyer prisoner refuses to talk to me (talk option does not appear, he is like a piece of furniture, standing here but not moving or react to anything)
Before getting that mission I had already taken the key and opened the prison gate of the bandit's camp(the prison was empty then). I should stop doing things that are out of the missions, but I love to explore these levels on my own :P
This is nothing that keeps me from good playing, I wrote this just to report a possible bug.
Yes, that worked! I could finally find the documents at the camp, and took the escaping mission. Still have the "find a gullible bandit" task in the PDA, but can continue the main quest.
I have that Borov's documents without any mission or nobody asking for them. I think I have anticipated taking them.

I think I've made a little progress. There were still a few alive bandits, I went after them. While killing them I got a message with the code for the safe.
Now I have the Borov's documents. But the mission is still not updated, still ticking "find a gullible bandit". I have no idea what to do with those documents. The monolith guard still don't let me pass without the password.
I don't see nothing on the PDA. There was a green marker pointing the bandit's corpse. When I opened his inventory that green marker dissapeared and the mission didn't update. That guy from the lab continues asking for the password and I can't answer it well.
I have no saved game before killing the bandits :(

Hi Stalkers!, I have one question with one of the missions. I'm not sure if there is a solution.
(spoilers here)
I'm in the part where you have to wear a bandit suit and ask about a password from one of the bandits. Before starting that quest, I had explored the area and killed most of the bandits.
When I reached the bandit with the password, he was dead. The mission marker dissapeared and now I'm stuck here. Can't continue the main quest.
There is any way to solve this? (jump that part, 'resurrect' the character or something). I have the 1.3002 patch.

There are dreadful information coming from Kiev. Not sure what is happening there, mostly European media write confusing and contradictory information, but there are people shot down, buildings and vehicles fire burning.

Ok. Now I understand, simply have to unrar these temp files and not try to reinstall (that removed the .db files from my patches folder).
