Uhm actually "new M16" looks like an M16 (the first version of the rifle 1950's) or an M16A1 (c. 1965 which repalced the M16), with a 30 rnd magazine. My only quibble is that this rifle in those days usually came with a 20 rnd clip.
It definately does not look like an M4 at all. The M4 is shorter (can get extremely short for urban versions) and characteristically has a more modern retractable stock.
